Opinions Needed :)

I'm really getting the ball rolling on my birthday party and almost have everything set already.  I bought my dress yesterday, booked a DJ, booked a casino night company, booked rentals (tables and chairs), and I'm in the middle of getting quotes for food and cake.

I need help trying to figure out what color linens to order.  The party, weather permitting, will be outside in the front of my uncles ginormous house.  There's a beautiful circle driveway with a water fountain in the middle.  I've rented gold chiavari chairs and 48" rounds (sits 6 people).  I'll be purchasing the linens and I'd like to go with black, gold or champagne satin or tafetta linens.  For centerpieces, I am thinking a group of three small vases with white flowers or maybe tall vases with ostrich feathers, or a combination of the two.  We will be serving heavy hors d'oeuvres, so there doesn't have to be as much room on the tables like if we were doing a full plated meal. 

So, what color linen, what fabric, and what centerpiece would you do?

I like the feather centerpieces, they just feel more roaring 20's to me.

I love it all though.  I hope you have a career in party planning because you rock at it!

I'd go with black too...that way the accents of gold and/or champagne would pop against the black.

The black really pops but the feathers go so well with the theme--I'm torn!!

Why can't you do the black linens with the feather centrepieces?

I'm open to either centerpiece on either color linen, so black linens with the feather centerpieces would be totally fine.  The pictures just show the two different centerpieces I'm liking.

I'm a fan of the 3 vase centerpieces.  That's what we had at our wedding.  They were supposed to be white flowers, until I met my florist, who brought in color in the most perfect way.  I think the white flowers with some feathers would look gorgeous!

I think black table cloths may get too dark at night.  I'm not sure the tables will stand out.  White flowers would definitely pop really well on a black table cloth though.

This is why wedding planning (and everything in my life) is so difficult, I am too wishy-washy!

I like the feathers for your theme!!! I think they go really well. I'd either go with all black or alternating black and gold. Could you do a translucent gold cross runner on top of black?
