Kitchen paint/cupboard dilema

Hey All, I'm new here.

I just got married last week, and I've moved on from wedding planning and think that this is a good place to spend some time!

Anywhoo, I am painting my kitchen in the next while.  I have a yellow, white and grey backslash and am decorating around this.  I was going to paint an accent wall light grey and repaint the other walls white. My apprehension comes into play when I look at my cupboards.  They should be white, but they are more yellowy beige (not in a helpful way)  They are a shiny plastic type of cupboards.  Anyone know if there is a way to brighten them up, or what color I should now paint?  Thanks!

Re: Kitchen paint/cupboard dilema

  • What if you painted the three walls gray and one yellow? That little pop of color may really help to brighten up your space, and bring out the accent color in your backsplash.

If you want a really cool project, you could actually upgrade the cabinets by painting them. That hard plastic will peel right off with a little heat, like from a hair dryer, and once you have the plastic off, you could paint them any color you wanted!
