1. I've been thinking about going to an IRL book club at my library.  On the 7th they are discussing Divergent, and in Nov TFiOS.  So I've already read them... but I'm scared of 1. being the only person there 2. being the youngest if there are others 3. meeting new people.  I feel like I'm so socially awkward sometimes. 

2. There's a road at work that I use daily.  It has a sharp curve and turns a 1 lane street to 2, then it's windy for a bit.... I like to think I'm a racecar driver turning really sharp and then side-by-side with another car around the curves.  Yes - I'm crazy, No - it hasn't gotten old in 6 years...

1.  I would want to go to that book club too Mana, but I think that I would feel the same way.  I did have a book club that I was in where I was the youngest by at least 10 years.  It was a group of ladies that I did scrapbooking with so it was a little different.  I loved it though.

2.  You are crazy!!

As for me, I confess that I am dreading FSIL's shower that I am going to on Saturday.  Supposedly, MIL told FSIL that she wouldn't be surprised if I didn't go to it because of the way FSIL treated me when they came to visit last month.  BIL and FSIL came to see the new house and she just sat in the kitchen.  She didn't even look at the house except to tell me that she didn't like the color that we picked out for the kitchen.  Then tried to pick a fight with me about something stupid.  There was other stuff too but I am not going to get into it.

I came in for a half day at work today.  I should have just stayed home, not getting anything done.  Too excited for my long weekend in Vegas!

I confess that I hulked out of my dress (I stretched and my huge swimmer's shoulders/DD bust ripped the side of my dress) and I've covering it with a sweater.  hahaha

I confess that I have zero motivation at work this week. I have finished all of the tasks my boss and I talked about during our weekly meeting last week and she is out of the office now until Tuesday of next week. So, I'm reading a library book on my work computer screen.

I'm finally getting to go bra shopping and I wanted to see what size I am now that pretty much all the swelling is down.  Well, I am really hoping that I measured wrong because according to the numbers, I am still a 32F!  What the hell!!

I'm going to Victoria's Secret tonight to get measured so we'll see what they say.

I'm so not motivated either!

The end of my Ph.D. has been miserable and, as much as I just want to be done with it, I'm so exhausted! That coupled with the fact that we leave for Italy in 2.5 weeks makes me not want to do anything in the lab : /

DH and I went down to Maryland last weekend to start looking at townhouse rentals in the DC suburbs. We didn't want to come back to NY! It's so tempting to say F@&* this Ph.D. and run away!

I know, bra sizing can be so frustrating!!  These sites are what I use to fit myself.  Also, the cup is just the difference in inches between your band and the largest part of your bust.  So, if you have a very small frame, even with a medium-ish bust the cup size will seem "large."  And for what it's worth, I've never been properly fitted at VS.  No offense to them, it's just never been accurate.

oooh, also, a DDD can sometimes be called an F, it just depends on the brand.

@frank139 - Thanks for the breakdown  I was wearing a 34 band size before and it was a little too big but because of my old cup size, I could never find anything in the 32 band size.

I think I may not go to VS after all.  I've been hearing bad things about their sizing abilities and I'd rather not waist my time.  There's another store close by me that I am gonna go to and hopefully they'll do a good job there.

I think VS definitely has "vanity sizing". I have a really small chest, yet I wear a 32C Demi bra in that store. There's NO WAY I'm a C cup LOL! Granted a demi bra is basically full coverage for me, but still!

The problem that I had with going up a band size was that the back part would always go up too high, like almost between my shoulder blades instead of going straight across.  I'm sure the weight in the front was also causing this, but now that I am smaller, I am hoping to eliminate that problem.

It will be very frustrating if I am still measuring larger than a D after going through this surgery.  I really wanted to be a C because I didn't want to go through any more frustration with finding clothes, bras and swimwear.

@ystaalenburg - what I mean is, if they size they give me isn't fitting I try the sizes around.  Lets say they give you 34D, but the band is loose like you said, then I'd go out and get 32D and 32DD to try because you went down in the band, the cup might be too small now.

Same exact here!  I just can't imagine my small chest being anywhere near a C!

I think everyone has an idea of what an A or B or DDD looks like, which is why sizes surprise people, but the cup is just the difference between the band and bust measurement.  A C on one person may look like what you'd think of as an A or B, just because we associate a C with looking a certain way.

Well, I went to get fitted at that store I mentioned before during my lunch and yup, I'm a 32F.  I tried on about 15 bras and 5 strapless.  Pretty much all of them I was an F in, some a FF.  I tried on a couple 34 band sizes and they were too big, so had to go back to the 32.

I'm very happy with my size, but I hate that it's still considered a "specialty" size and I'll have to drop serious dough when buying bras.  I just spent $180 on 3 bras! And those were the cheaper options too.  I'm so frustrated that I'm still going to be dealing with this issue

Don't let it get you down  If it makes you feel better, my bras (34DD or 36D) aren't any cheaper!! And I don't have any trouble finding good swimwear as long as I shop separates. I should add that since you're frame is small enough that a 32 is your band, you could definitely find a suit that fits in the VS line.  Might take some trying on, but definitely possible.

I confess I peed on a stick last night and convinced myself I saw a super squinter. Now I can't decide whether to go buy more or see if AF shows up tomorrow or the next day. I also haven't told H just in case.

I am going a little crazy with this ttc stuff. I've spent considerable time in the bump forums learning this week. Whoops! I'm anxious and it makes me sad realizing that the process could take a long time.

@ystaalenburg, don't get stressed about bra size yet.  Your surgery was only a few weeks ago and you are probably still swollen.  It will take 2-3 months for the swelling to go all the way down.  You may be an F cup now, but I am sure they will be smaller soon

I know I've only been back at work for 3 weeks, but I am ready for a vacation.  I have been putting in long hours and I am constantly moving because my class is so needy.  I just want to go to an island with my H and enjoy a week with us on a beach.

Another confession:

peed on a second stick tonight (what can I say I have zero self-control). Definately think I see another squinter and this time H saw it and he thinks he can see it too. I'm gonna try again tomorrow morning with first morning urine and then I guess buy a digital.

we have been ttc since Jan. and its driving me nuts that we still aren't pregnant! today my friend and her husband came in  and visited me at work and she told me she is 6 week pregnant! i am happy for her but her and her husband just got back together after being seperated for 2 years! i cried driving home< i have AF> why is it so easy for some people to get pregnant but i cant!!!!
