Our tub sprung a leak through to our kitchen ceiling last night.  DH is staying home from work today to take care of it (as in calling a contractor, etc.)  I wish I could have stayed home but my work is too busy lately.  I'm irrationally jealous.

A couple of DH's friends wear deoderant (I recognize the scent) that makes them smell really good. So while I am not attracted to these friends, I certainly don't mind when they hang out together.

We've been financially struggling so i've been ridiculously jealous of those around me who have the money to do fun things or buy things that I consider luxuries. I shouldn't compare myself to others but I have been and it is driving me insane. I am mostly jealous of all the people in my life (and if feels like everyone) who are having their 2nd child. I really want another baby but it would just be completely financially irresponsible so we are waiting until one or both of us get better paying jobs or until Wesley is in kindergarten (2 kids in day care is just not doable for us). But it doesn't stop me from feeling tugs of jealousy every time I see a post on facebook that yet another person is having #2.

John is home from work today and I am incredibly jealous.  I would have considered taking today off if I hadn't been out of the office two days this week for meetings.

I found out I will not have a job as of 1 January on Monday (they are not continuing the contract). Not really a big deal since I am a contractor and these things happen all the time, however, it has caused my motivation to seep out of me and I really do not feel like working. I should probably be trying to finish this contract up strong- but I really do not feel it. Maybe next week.

Despite being at work today, I have no plans to work. The last few weeks have been so busy that I don't even feel guilty about it.

I want to start on #1... but we are not ready to do that yet. We want DH to be done with school and in a good job before starting on TTC. I think its a good idea you guys are waiting, but I can understand how you feel about wanting to get a bun in the oven!

I miss being able to do this at my office job. Those days were the best.

I have no choice...I have to work.

I do not find the actor playing Augustus Waters remotely attractive. I hope he can act, that way he can at least act attractive.

I drove over 2 hours to go to a Matt Nathanson concert last night, and then drove over 2 hours back home afterwards. I'm way too old for that shit.

But I will most definitely continue to do it.

I really think I would be a better, happier parent if I was hearing impaired. I just get worn out from so much hearing and constant, incessant noise.

I went for a solo walk at 5:30am this morning and it was amazing how much I HEARD the silence.  It was amazing.
