Birthday Presents

What did you /are you get for your one year old as a birthday present? A's birthday is coming up and Im clueless. We have so many toys and books from M that I cant think of anything she'd want or need that we dont have.

For his first birthday, we got him a wagon.  He absolutely loved it.

His 2nd birthday is this week and we're stumped.  We're likely taking him to TRU and letting him pick something.

his present from us was his big first birthday party.  Honestly he got so many gifts from everyone else that there was nothing left to buy him that he needed so we just considered the party his gift.

my mom and sister got her a wagon. ;( M really liked getting an easel when she was 2...maybe thats an idea for you.

What about some piece of jewelry for when she's older? Like something sentimental? 

I'm going to get the boys something special that later in life they can say "I got this on my first birthday" - but don't ask me what that'll be just yet. Girls are easier in that regard.

This.  Last year Hunter's big gift was a  Mater push toy that I got from a consignment sale, and this year we are revamping my old kitchen set for him.  But for the most part, his grandparents spoil him, and we have so many hand-me-downs from other people, I will probably consider the party his gift for the next foreseeable future.
