I can't remember what it might have been when I was really little. I do remember loving the Angelina Ballerina books.

There was also a book called "Dear Mili" that I adored. It was a little more serious/sad, but I just remember the drawings being so beautiful and the story so touching (in my little kid emotional way).

ETA: Fixed spelling of "Mili" and looked up the book on Amazon; turns out Maurice Sendak did the illustration! Link

  • I loved so many but one of our favorites was "Make Way for the Ducklings". We actually went to Boston to see where the book was written about.

Did you see the statues? They paint Bruins jerseys on them during the playoffs! It is so cute! Such a great book!

Yes! My mom made us take pictures with the statues. ;)

I think I need my own copy of this book!

I loved so many. My favorite was the Poky Little Puppy. My dad still talks about how he had to read it to me every night. "Rolly polly, pell mell, tumble bumble." I can still actually hear his voice as I say this line.

I also loved The Monster at the End of this Book and my mom had a book about Grover's First Day of School that she used to read to me. It was so funny because the last page had Grover's mom peeling potatoes and looking away from what she was doing when Grover gets home from school and my mom would always ad-lib, "Oh I just cut my thumb off while peeling the potatoes!" It was funny. Ah, memories...

  • My favorite was one about mice who painted on an easel... and I have no idea what it's called anymore. It was the first book I "read" (by memorizing the words and repeating them to my mom). Make Way for Ducklings was also a favorite!

Totally. Still own them too.  And of course, when I was younger:Love you forever.  It's the book I put in every baby shower basket.

  • @Uptowngirl2009 - the monster at the end of this book was a major favorite of mine. We had (still have) a Grover puppet and Grover (my dad) would read/act it out ALL the time :)

I had way to many favorites to list, but The Hairy Book was an awesome one! I have that and the Grover book mentioned above stored in my cedar chest :) There is also a book called Cross-country Cat that I read a million times!

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!
