Family Binder

Does anyone have a home or family binder they keep in a certain spot at your home. Want to start one but not sure of everything to put in it but don't want it to be too complicated or involved.

What are the sections you have in yours?

Re: Family Binder

  • What is a family binder? Like this thing?

If so, then no. There's no way that all my stuff would fit in a single binder. I have two document filing boxes that are divided into the following categories:
Original documents, Work Records, Home, Banking, Medical, Veterinary, Immigration, Travel, Telecom, Receipts, Latest taxes, Tax 2009-11, Tax 2008-09, Tax 2006-08, Tax 2000-05

  • A what now?
  • what gillic said in her first line. click on this thing
  • I have one and it sits on my dining room table. I keep emergency numbers and info, vet/pet info, shipping lists and other stuff it in.
Its not the destination so much as the journey, they say. - Captain Jack Sparrow Wedding Countdown Ticker
  • I have a file box where I keep everything relating to our house, bills, health info, tax returns, bank statements, receipts for big purchases, basically anything sort of important or that I might want to refer to later. It doesn't have to be complicated, just make a couple of categories according to what you want to file.
  • I keep tax and donation records, medical, vet, school, work, etc. info in a filing cabinet. If someone pet/ house sits I leave a list of info the may need.
  • We have a Home Info Binder. We keep the details of repairs done and also a tab with paint color chips taped to a page. It also has our blue prints. All our other stuff is too much for a binder and goes in a file drawer.
