Couple costume ideas for budgeting newlyweds?
I want something "different" but I am still suffering from "Bride brain" a month later (as of today! woo hoo!!). My creative side has taken a leave of absence with no apparent plan to return.
We're going to a festival with our family so it will need to something easy to move around in...
Re: Couple costume ideas for budgeting newlyweds?
Nerds: Depending on what you own, wear some plaid shirts, suspenders, pants (hike them up so they're flood pants), and fake glasses. For the glasses you could use dollar store ones, make some out of box-board from a cereal box and colour it in with a sharpie, or get a pair of 3D glasses from the theater and pop out the lenses.
Silent Film Stars: Wear black and white clothes. Print out two pieces of paper with text on it that looks like it's from a movie back then and hold them or tape them on you
Peanut Butter and Jelly: Have him wear brown and you wear purple. Print out labels (eg. Jiff and Welch's) tape them on your shirts.
Tetris: Using cardboard boxes, make two of the shapes from the game. Paint them and cut a hole out for your head.
Night and Day: One of you wears all navy or black and sticks felt or paper stars on them. The other wears all light blue and sticks cotton balls on them as clouds.
Or just go to the dollar store and see if you can find some accessories to make some costumes.
