Who is your Gyno?

With all these doctor appointments going on, who do you guys go to? I've been using Dedicated to Women because I've followed Dr. Cooper around since I was 14. I delivered M at Kent General and although everything was fine, I think I would prefer a doctor that was in network with Christiana if I get pregnant again. I'm due for a yearly soon, so it would be nice to get to know someone new to see if we click.

  • I see Claire Symanzki (sp?!) at All About Women and @amcourt09 does too.

I pink puffy heart love her!

  • Dr. Maryam Awan..I have  a love hate relationship with them but its hard to find anyone associated with Union Hospital and they give an ultrasound every month/visit which is pretty awesome. I really loved Union Hospital L&D compared to Christiana so I have been iffy about switching.

Love love love her. I really can't say enough good things about her. She and Dr. Larkin delivered T. I really love both of them.

I also could not say enough good things about my delivery experience at Christiana either. I would recommend both of them until I was blue in the face.

  • I see Karen Glover with Maternity & Gynecology Associates. The main office is next to the hospital, but she has office hours in Middletown on Wednesday mornings. Another doctor from the practice is there on Wednesday afternoons.

  • I honestly havent even seen the actual doctor at my practice and wont unless Im pregnant. The Nurse Practitioner I usually see just left recently and I saw the new one. I cant even tell your her name. Its about a million letters long and I dont think Im a big fan of hers so far.
  • My doctor is Diane McCracken at All About Women. She's fantastic. But since I am in 'maintenance mode' as she calls it, I don't mind seeing Clare or Dina. I prefer Clare, though.
  • I see Dr. Casey Bedder at All About Women.  I cannot say enough good things about her, especially with what happened during my labor last week.  She wasted no time in deciding we had to get to the OR and not wait and see what happened.

I wanted to get in with them, but every time I call no one is accepting patients. My dr's office is in Smyrna but they are still associated with Christiana Care so I can deliver at Christiana Hospital.  They are a small office so I can get pretty good scheduling. Plus its less than 2 miles from home if I need to get there quick.

    that does seem convenient.

I waited about a year to get my first appt. with them. but my sister was able to get in with them fairly quickly

Oh for real? I've been going there since I was 15. I didn't know they were so popular.

    yeah, they are crazy popular!
  • Mine is in Glen Mills, PA- Dr. Ginsburg of Suburban OB/GYN.  Basically it was the first place I found that I could get an appointment at last year in time to get my BC script renewed!  I kind of freaked out because I had never been to a male gyno before, but it really wasn't that bad- hah just as uncomfortable as a female poking and proding down there!

  • Mine is in Havre de Grace, MD, so I'd deliver in Bel Air, Md.  I talked to H about hospitals, and I looked up Upper Ches vs Christiana, we're seriously RIGHT in the middle.  I think one was 30 miles away, the other 34... I stayed with the one in MD.

I'm pretty sure I only got in there because I was pregnant & there was no way in hell I was going back to the practice that I was with when I had a miscarriage.

I had no idea they weren't taking on patients. It seems like the number of doctors has tripled since I started going there!
  • @phanatic I think they are currently accepting new patients but there was a while that they wern't
