Why is there so much paperwork for EVERYTHING! Just when I think I'm not ahead, but at least caught up, I get slammed with another hour or two of papers to manage. This is personal, work, school, etc.

What scares me the most is that this is only for one kid right now. What's it going to be like when all 3 are in school in different classes?!

Clare--I also feel overwhelmed by the amount of stuff that comes home. Some of it needs my attention right away, some of it doesn't, so it ends up piling up.  And I get twitchy if I have to look at piles of things for more than a day or so....I desperately need a better system for organizing everything!!

I hear ya!  I feel like so much paper work comes home and I have to send back or deal with later or it's just to look at.   I forget so much and I"ve even thrown Noah's homework away or forgot to put it in his folder because sometimes it's overwhelming.

My random: I love Tues/Thurs in the Fall semester.  Our students have a class from 12-1:20.  So it's blissfully quiet during that hour and a half.

I'm over today.  I generally try not to complain about lack of sleep and other such things, but today I've been put over the edge. 

12:30--Finished up a group presentation for my class--with ZERO input from my group and went to bed.
1:12-DH was snoring so I went to sleep with DD
2:04-Nolan wakes up and wants nothing to do with DH
2:45-Nolan still awake; can't stop talking; asking to watch Diego
3:37-I start to drift off to sleep while DH is dealing with Nolan, DD comes in and wants someone to sleep with her.  DH goes with her since Nolan wants me
4:10--Nolan finally puts his head on the pillow I start to drift off to sleep
4:30- I jump out of bed because I hear the dog throwing up/wakes Nolan up/DH takes the dog and DD downstairs
5:20-Nolan and I both drift off to sleep
6:15-Time for me to wake up and get ready for work.

I think I may have squeezed in 2 hours of sleep. 

On the way to work I came within inches of hitting a deer. 

Is today over yet?

This is why I love my job.  I am currently making a "flat Amber" for my co-workers to take to a meeting tomorrow.  I was supposed to attend (even though it's on my usual day off) and then my mom made an appt for my dad to follow up with his surgery.  She really can't handle going herself, so I can't attend this meeting.  They're going to take my face on a stick so I can be there in spirit.

Sorry you are  having a rough day.  I hate nights like that.  Why do dogs only throw up in the middle of the night (at least in my house that's how it goes)?

We saw the duck today. I am sorry , I just don't get it. Is it really art?  I mean they've had stuff like that in parades for years. 

 

I am getting my hair cut at a new place today.  I haven't had a hair cut in a year so I am excited. I am also sooo nervous  because after going to the same place for years and years I'm branching out.

I had a co-worker at the hospital who used to do this! Although, she was a widow, so she would print out pics of hot celebs and paste them on a stick to be a "date on a stick" at weddings, etc. It definitely showed her humorous side!

I sooo hear ya with the hair! I have been trying for I swear two years and cannot find a steady hairstylist! So everytime I try someone new I am like well what will I think? A few times I have had to go back and say can you fix this? I hope yours turned out!!
