DH and I are going to host a Halloween party this year. I'm going to put out some appetizers but I'm a snacker when I've been drinking. I plan on putting out mostly normal stuff but I would like some help with low sodium choices. I think a lot of you know that I've been put on an extremely limited Low-So diet. It's been frustrating socially so I'm just trying to make things a bit easier on myself. Seriously, I hate going out to eat now, and I've always been a foodie.
Anyway, I found this website and she has a ton of Low-So recipes. http://www.sodiumgirl.com/category/meal/appetizers/ If you guys can take a minute to peek at it, and tell me what you think people would actually eat, I would REALLY appreciate the help. I want to make something that I can munch on, but also something others will eat so it doesn't go to waste.
I'm thinking I'll for sure do the pigs in a blanket but make them look like mummies.
Thanks ladies!
Re: Appetizer Help
Thank you so much for taking the time to look! Great suggestions.
@ystaalenburg, I totally stole the mummy idea off of pinterest. And I never thought of subbing salt for lime, that would probably work in a lot of recipes...
@Nic12184, I'll have to see if those are low-so. That would be awesome I really miss crackers and chips a lot!! Otherwise, I could just use carrots for myself.
@xxjen015, those potstickers do look amazing. It's a Friday night party so I wonder if I could make the wraps the night before.. Sometimes stuff like that can get soggy in the fridge overnight.
