Tell The Wolves I'm Home...tell me about it ns please!

I came across Eli's progress on FB and then saw that so many have read it and loved it...I totally missed anything about this book. I'm wondering if it would be something I like. What does NBC love about it?

  • It was one of my favorite books this year.  It was a "quiet" type of book.  It wasn't a story that is in your face from the start but in it's own quiet way it grabs you, shakes you up and leaves you with all these feelings.

    I adored it.

  • Yup, it's very subtle in its wonderfulness. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It gave me feels.

  • It's an amazing book and the best I've read this year.  It's marketed a lot as a "coming-of-age" story but it's so much more than that.  It's really a story about life and everything that comes along with it - the highs, the lows, and the subtle beauty throughout.  It definitely packs a punch though that you often don't see coming and then you're crying or feel like you're full of the feels.  Read it.

  • I got a chance to see the author Carol Rifka Brunt last week.  She was sweet and shy.  She obviously isn't comfortable speaking in public.  She had trouble making eye contact with the audience and did a lot of nervous laughing but she can certainly write a good story.

She sounds kind of like June to me. I am only on page 109, but I have loved it from the very beginning.

  • This book shook me to the core. Best book I've read in the last 2 years hands down. I thought it was eclipsed unfairly by TFiOS, and more people need to read it. It's beautiful.
