What would you do if you found a piece of jewelry that was obviously lost? Would you try to return it or keep it? Have you ever had this happen to you?

Re: QOTD 10/10
When H first "proposed" we were really young and I didn't get a ring for a few months. We were at his dorm and H found a diamond ring in the parking lot and bent down to pick it up, when I turned around I thought he was on one knee with my ring, haha. no such luck. H turned it in to the front desk at his dorm building.
I was at a concert a few years ago and some guy pushed past my group and dropped his wallet. I saw him drop it and tried to stop him, but he shooed me. I think he thought I was complaining that he went in front of our group into the crowd. I held up his wallet but he didn't see it. I gave the wallet to security.
