I heard chocolate by 1975 this summer, and loved it. It seems to be getting additional airplay now, as it's left the alt rock stations and is moving over to the pop stations

I also like Pompeii by Bastille.

Emmy, Steve and I love Imagine Dragons. I bought their album last summer and we play it a lot. All the songs are great!

I'm bitter they announced their tour and right now aren't visiting the Burgh.

I like Royals by Lorde.  

And I know it's an older song, but the radio plays Blurred Lines so many times a day I can't even stand it.  I listen at my desk starting at 10am (after the DVE morning show) and I think by 2pm the other day I had heard it no less than 7 times.   Ugh.

Royals by Lorde. I love her voice.

I despise that song by Capitol Cities, I think it's called "Lift You Up" or something. It's TERRIBLE. It sounds like something rejected from B94 in 1986.

I hate Blurred Lines. The whole thing makes me thing of date rape. 

I like Royals too Ryan. Other than that I suck at song names/artists. So I will just leave it at that for now.

Also, going to see Pearl Jam tonight, so feeling rather in a grunge mood. Like I need to run out and buy a flannel and some chucks for the show.

Ditto loving the Aviccii song and the Royals song.  I'm also liking Katy Perry's Roar and Lady Gaga's Applause for my running play list.  There's a few others that I like, but I'm totally drawing a blank.

I don't know the ones that I hate either, since I usually change the station the second they come on!  But I think I also hate the Lift You Up song that Ryan mentioned, and agree with the B94 reference.

and I like the Roar song for running too. I just didn't know who sang it. Or if the name was roar.

I love Eminem's Berzerk, probably because of the Beastie Boy  samples.

I just don't get the Robin Thicke love at all. I really cannot stand the man, I find him so irritating in every interview I have ever seen or heard with him.

I will admit, I loved Blurred Lines when it first came out (despite the questionable lyrics); I just thought it was super catchy.  However, after hearing it a gazillion times and seeing him with Miley, I just feel icky when I hear it. 

That being said, I do love some of his earlier albums, like the evolution of Robin Thicke.

Robin Thicke is also creepy because he looks just like Dr. Seaver.  And well, being all sleezy and gross is just not how I want to picture Dr. Seaver!  

*For those of you who don't remember Growing Pains, Dr. Seaver is played by Robin Thicke's dad, Alan.  He was nice and wholesome.

I used to love Robin Thicke. I guess it was about 10-12 years ago when he went by the name Thicke. His album Cherry Blue Skies was REALLY good. When I became aware of this "new" Thicke, I was/am disgusted. Here's what he USED to sound/look like...

Well, our friend Mae said that she doesn't remember Growing Pains so the whole Dr. Seaver/Robin Thicke look alike thing doesn't mean anything to her.   

Also, I have earned the Ancient Membership badge from the Nest - so I think that officially makes me old.

I used to love the Tuesday night Growing Pains/Who's the Boss line up on ABC!

I too don't get the robin thicke being hot thing because of his dad! It makes me all icky. I did like Blurred Lines at first, but I am SO sick of it now!!

I don't understand Bruno Mars' Gorilla. How do gorillas make love? Why would you like to make love like a gorilla?! What is going on in that song?!

Sarah, I have the same question in regard to Gorilla! The first time I heard it I was like, "No, that's not what he said...oh, yeah, okay, gorillas making love is hot?"
