Leggings

So I love the idea of leggings but I cant seem to find a pair that are good quality and not sheer.  Can anyone recommend a brand?

Re: Leggings

  • I am a nanny so I wear leggings all of the time! I've found going with athletic leggings are best. I love Lululemon leggings. They aren't sheer and they last forever. Also some of them have little hidden pockets which come in handy. Lululemon is a bit pricey but if you want a less costly option Target had great athletic leggings too.
  • Yikes....I just looked online and they are like $100!  How do you afford that as a nanny!

  • I get mine at Target, for about $10.  No hidden pockets or anything, but they look great =)

  • I just got a pair of leggings from Lands'end. They're in the "Starfish??" Collection. I think that's the name! Lol They're the perfect "thickness". And they're not see thru at all and I think they were under $50 and I've washed them once and they laundered great. I hang dry them tho'.
I love All the clothes in that collection esp the pants!!
  • I always seem to have good luck shopping at bargain places like Burlington coat factory or TJ Maxx for stuff like that!
  • Old Navy has come really good leggings too!
  • Liverpool Leggings or Fleece leggings, they are thicker. You can get liverpools through a Vault Denim Rep.
  • I second Lululemon. They are AHHHHHHMAZING! They last forever, they suck you in all the right places and make you look smoking hit! Worth every penny!!!

I was in Italy a couple of weeks ago. Leggings with blue jean print were in the shop windows.
I'm just not too sure about pants that require no underwear or knicker lines will show?
I'm kind of on the fence about leggings and they are sort of ok in the general public if you have a long shirt or short skirt to cover the fore and aft cleavages.........
Then again we all wear wet bathing suits that cover the lady parts about as well as body paint.........It's around the pool or lake however it's kind of the norm as everybody else is too.I just was used to everybody's bits showing around the pool and was used to it. I never really though about it until seeing the leggings recently and reading here.
  • Go to Old Navy, I love their leggings!
  • Latest and greatest leggings yet.........................
