We are leaving for Califonia next Tuesday night and then Hawaii with my sister and BIL Wednesday morning. Of course AF is scheduled to arrive Wednesday. I think I'll probably test Tuesday morning before we leave, but I'm not sure if I should bring a test to Hawaii if it's negative. Should I just wait to AF to arrive (or not) or bring a test with me? We are sharing a 2br/2bth condo so I would have privacy in our own bathroom. My sister and I are very close and not very private, but I'm not sure I want her finding out right when we do.

I would probably take an extra test with me. It would drive me nuts not to know, especially if AF doesn't show. That's just my two cents though. Hope you enjoy your trip!

I would take a test with me but you could always swing by a CVS there too and pick one up. My SIL found out she was PG with her 1st baby after 2 years of trying when she was in Hawaii. So hopefully Hawaii brings good news to you too!

Bring a test if you are going to be antsy about it! Where in Hawaii are you going? In Maui you can go to a vineyard on Haleakala and there is a fertility god statue there. When Alan and I were trying we made sure to stop! The wine was delicious so even if you don't want to see the statue you should stop by if you are in Maui

I had this dilemma this summer. I packed a test so I had the option if I wanted it. Whether or not you use it is totally up to you!

Where in Hawaii are you going? I love it there! Have a great time!

I would test the Tuesday before you leave, and also bring a test with.

My answer depends on your answer to this question - if you do get a bfn before you leave, are you going to pout the entire time you are on vacation?  If you are going to test before or during, and throw a pity party the entire time, I vote that you resolve that you aren't pg before you leave and start drinking. That way if you aren't and af arrives, you won't let it ruin your vacation (for you and everyone else). If you will be fine no matter the results, test when af is due, before you start drinking.

I agree with @spongebobsquarepanties, it depends on your attitude towards a potential BFN. If it were me, I'd test on Tues and bring a test if AF doesn't show.

You can bring one and decide not to use it, or not bring one and get it at an ABC Store if you change your mind. It's really up to you and how you react to BFNs. But have an awesome, awesome time, and I'm really jealous! I miss Hawaii.

@spongebobsquarepanties I think if I see the BFN that Tuesday I will be able to get it out of my system. I'm definitely someone who does not want to be a downer around people, especially in such a beautiful place like Hawaii. If I have any "moments" it will be in my private time. I don't want to ruin anyone's vacation with a pity party!

Thanks everyone! I'll definitely test Tuesday if AF hasn't arrived yet, and then bring one with me if it is neg. TSA is going to have fun with my bag if that's the case; tampons and a HPT!
