CC restaurant recs

DH and I have an overnight planned in a few weeks for our five year anniversary.  We are staying at the Radisson Warwick, so right near Rittenhouse.  Looking for a nice place for dinner.  Would love if it's within walking distance but open to places via taxi as well.  Looking for somewhere we can take our time, with good seafood, and a little more upscale.

Also, looking for somewhere we can get a quick, but good breakfast within walking distance of our hotel.  We will probably need to leave the city around 9:30-10.  Diners are fine.

Thanks!

Re: CC restaurant recs

  • We did the same thing for our bdays back in June. We went to Butcher and Singer. Expensive but amazing! And i know it's steak but still, so good!

For breakfast we went to Green Eggs Cafe. Thumbs up for creme brûlée French toast!
  • The only seafood place I am familiar with in that area is Devon Seafood Grill. We went there for J's birthday a couple of years ago.  It was nice inside and we both enjoyed our meals, but it's very large and kind of loud.  Good place, but not very romantic.

Parc is right down there, too.  It's a French bistro, but they have a good amount of seafood.  It's one of my favorite spots.  It's also a bit loud in there, but feels more intimate than Devon.  I love the people watching here.

Sabrina's is an awesome breakfast spot about a mile from your hotel (think DD&D worthy). Honey's Sit n Eat just opened a new location, also a mile from your hotel, and they actually were featured on DD&D.

Or how about splurging and ordering room service for breakfast? Could be a nice way to wrap up your stay.

  • So, just wanted to let you know where we ended up going!

For dinner - Barclay Prime.  holy cow, what a great meal.  we started with oysters, dh had lobster bisque and i had beet salad with goat cheese.  then for dinner, dh had filet on the bone (amazing), i had a really good crab cake and we shared some sides.  we had some PB/chocolate dessert, which was good, but too sweet for me

then we went to continental midtown and had a drink on the rooftop deck before the comedy show at helium

for breakfast, we just went to a diner across from our hotel.  basic, but good breakfast.

    thanks again for the recs!
