    1) Do you dress up for Halloween? If you do, what are you going to be?
Only if we have a party to go to.  When T is bigger, if she wants me to dress up for trick or treating with her, I totally will.  I love to dress up, I just don't have a reason to unless we have a party to go to.

Do you get trick or treaters? I dressed before I even had kids (and decorated like crazy). The kids always enjoyed it (or wouldn't come near my house)- take your pick.
Some, but not a ton.  Last year, DH and I both went out to trick or treat with T, and I think we missed the main rush of kids at our house.  I'm so torn - I LOVE to pass out candy on Halloween, but I also really want to go out with DD.  Maybe I will bust out my yoda costume for passing out candy this year.

My favorite costume that DH and I ever did was years ago, and we dressed as Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.  I wish I still had a photo, but I wore a business-y blue dress (with a stain) and a beret, and DH wore a dress shirt and tie, American flag boxers, and dress socks and shoes, and he colored his hair grey and carried a big cigar.
  • 1) Do you dress up for Halloween? If you do, what are you going to be?  Yes.  Still have not figured it out for this year yet.  Gosh, I'm behind.

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out?  I carve one pumpkin every year and as for decorating, I only have a small thing on our door but the apartment isn't really that decorated for it.  If we had a house, I would probably decorate outside more for Halloween.

    3) Bonus if you can post pictures of your current or past Halloween costumes or decor!
    Pumpkin from last year.

    1. I do not enjoy Halloween at all so no, I don't dress up. My kid loves it though so I'm happy to dress her up in whatever costume she wants. This year she'll either be the Queen of Hearts or Black Widow from The Avengers.

    2. I don't understand the world's obsession with pumpkins come Oct. 1st. I've never carved one in my life.

    3. I think I'll let Wednesday Addams speak for me:

  • 1. We usually dress up if we're going out or to a party. Also, work had costume contests, so that was fun. I haven't even thought about this year yet. Yikes!

    2. I'm not one of those people who decorate for every holiday or season change. So, I don't have any decorations.

I am a Halloween junkie and love dressing up.  I ordered this cool TARDIS apron from a seller on Etsy and little Fish is going to be the Doctor. If it doesn't arrive on time, I'll just wear a little steampunk hat and save the apron for next time. Archer wants to be Batman and no idea what DH will be.

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out?
We do spiderwebs and window clings, but nothing too elaborate. I think we might paint pumpkins or use jack-o-lantern stickers this year. Carving can be fun, but it's too much of a mess. We also busted out the Halloween crafts in my house really early this year. Archer painted happy little coffins in September.

No pics with me at work, but I was Karou from Daughter of Smoke and Bone last year with blue hair and hamsas.

ALWAYS. There has never been a year that I have not dressed up for Halloween, and there never will be. This year, DH and I are going as Bert and Mary Poppins from the jolly holiday scene, with the kids as penguins.

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out?
Yup, we almost always carve pumpkins, and bake the seeds!  I'm excited to see how Ally handles it this year, I may just have her paint one or something.

Here's what I have for the kids' penguins so far:

  • 1) Do you dress up for Halloween? If you do, what are you going to be?
Before I had kids, I did dress up for Halloween. Now that I am a Mommy, I have fun dressing up my son. We moved into a large subdivision this year, so I may dress up a little and stay home with my infant while my husband and older son go Trick or Treating. I think Halloween will be a much bigger deal in my new neighborhood than it was where I lived before.

    2) What about carving pumpkins and decorating? Do you go all out?
I haven't carved a pumpkin in a long time (mainly because I kind of suck at it). I probably will try again this year since my oldest son is old enough to have fun with it. I do decorate for Halloween though, not obsessively or anything just moderately. Here is my dining room with some very subtle Halloween decor:
