Because having a newborn at home isn't enough....I now have a dog with something wrong....they just don't know what. Despite having X-rays, bloodwork, and an exam under anesthesia, the Vet can only say possibly an infection. Saturday morning J noticed Diesel's left eye was puffy so we took him to the vet and they were thinking possible abscess in his mouth, but he was in too much pain to be examined so he went back today and they ruled out anything dental related and no fractures anywhere in his head. He's now on 3 medications for possible infection and we're supposed to just watch him until we see the vet next week. I'm so worried about him...he's not even 2 years old and otherwise very healthy. Praying these meds fix whatever is wrong

Re: Puppy Prayers
The Rowdy Roberts
I hope he is feeling better soon!!
boy (n): a noise with dirt on it
Meh, he seemed better on Saturday. Jeremy gave him anew nylabone which he chewed. His jaw seemed to be opening fine and his eye swelling was down....but then yesterday he was back to a jaw barely working and a ridiculously swollen eye that barely opens. Talked to my vet this morning who said he can't have anything hard (no bone) because it probably just fired the inflammation/infection back up. If he's not better soon he needs a CT which requires more anesthesia....I pray he's better soon! Thank you for checking on him and for everyone's puppy prayers.
