Displaying your wedding pictures

I've been looking for a different way to display my wedding pics in the new house.  I didn't want just the traditional hang them in a frame on the wall.  When I was looking for ideas I came across a company that puts your pictures on a wood panel and then engraves the pictures story on the back!  It's the coolest thing!  I got mine from www.thestorygrove.com  Has anyone else heard of this before you seen other products like this?  What cool ways are you displaying  your wedding pictures?

Re: Displaying your wedding pictures

  • We picked one of the photos that we really liked and had it printed on a big canvas - that is hanging over our fireplace mantel.

It wasn't too expensive to do either - I just did a google search and found a company that does it and there's tons that do it for a low cost. I think it cost us like 40-50$ for a 24 x 24 size.
  • I did the same thing! I got my canvas prints from Shutterfly but they do have other types of wall art that you might like. Here is the link if you're interested: www.shutterfly.com/photo-gifts/wall-art

  • Michael's Arts and Crafts is always sending out coupon emails for canvas prints as well.  I was thinking about it as an anniversary gift, but I think I might try to modge podge a canvas myself

And yes, i've heard of the wood prints also, but I've only seen it on HGTV

As a side note, I've displayed wedding photos in my bedroom, but only used artistic shots of the decor, so it's not so obvious.  I just hung them in classic black frames with a white matte- gallery like
  • Thanks for all of your help.  I really liked these wood panels from Story Grove because they are printed on photo paper and then mounted.  The canvas wraps, especially the cheap ones, seem to have a lower quality of printing and they don't look as good for smaller pictures. It gave my pictures that crisp photo quality that i was looking for.  Also I really liked how I could engrave the back.
