So yesterday was our engagement party. I was not expecting gifts, but we got a few. My cup runneth over, for sure. Well, my FMIL got us ovulation predictor tests!!!! HA HA HA!!!!!!!! She is as ready for March as we are!! LOL

    T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

    I was thinking this too.  It's great that you guys have that type of relationship. I don't think she ever would, but If my MIL did that to me I'd think she was overstepping. 

    My sister gave me a fertility monitor at my shower/bachelorette, but it was only because she and our other sister were done with it and they wanted me to have it.  I didn't take it as a hint in any way.

    ETA: Plus, it was my sister, so we can do things like that. ILs are a whole different level.

    I'm with Seahorsey on this one. Very glad it was well received in your case. I would have been super uncomfortable getting that as a gift, especially from my MIL.

    Well, let me just say this about my FMIL... the longer I stay the more y'all will hear about it. She is 50 shades of crazy and I've learned to just take everything she does with a grain of salt and not take anything personally. She is actually crazy... like, I could go on and on about her and things she's done.

    I was embarrassed, but glad she's excited.

    Is her name Marie Barone? Like Everybody Loves Raymond?

    I would be absolutely mortified if my MIL ever gave me a gift like that....although I doubt she would considering she told my H that we should 'wait' to have kids. I'm pretty sure she may have said that to my H after my shower where my entire family was giving me gifts of lingerie to wear on my honeymoon hahahaha
