Score, again!

So I'm in between my pre-Lil size and my post-preggo size and I don't have any pants that fit. I'm happy with this size but I don't want to buy a bunch of pants if I'm still losing weight. So I just hit up Goodwill- I got 1 pair of Ann Taylor Loft jeans, a pair of Christopher Blues (which I hadn't heard of, but retail over $120 at Neiman Marcus), and a Target pair for...$18. I am thrilled!

Re: Score, again!

  • I need to start shopping with you!  That's an awesome score!

  • I need to visit your goodwill!

  • I'm seriously debating going over to ours this week. That's awesome you found those deals, I've only been a few time before and never find anything good.

  • I can guarantee you that you would never come across finds like that at my Goodwill.  Stupid college town...

My brother is a Goodwill freak and he always goes to the one in West Chester. He says that they have much better stuff than anywhere else.

Which one in WC? I was at the one in Exton, which I'm assuming is the one he's talking about!

  • That's pretty awesome!  I have 3 Goodwill's really close to me, but they all kind of suck.

That's probably the one! Homeboy isn't very good with directions.

  • I never have luck at goodwill.

  • I usually don't either, but now H is convinced we should just shop there. No thanks.
  • MIL goes to the one in I think it would be considered Glen Mills and gets all kinds of good stuff! Now she also spends 2+ hours each time she goes which is a few times a week. She refers to the ladies that work there as "her friends". She has no other friends so when she talks about any girl friends its them shes refering to.

The Middletown one kind of sucks, but I havent been in there for a while. But the one in Smyrna is really good for cashmere sweaters. I have gotten 3 or 4 from there. Granted they have to be dry cleaned and sometimes even then hung away from anything for  2 months to get the old lady perfume out of it. But I got a Neiman Marcus 100% cashmere cardigan for $2.50.

That one is pretty big. I was going to go there today (since I was headed that way), but I had such good luck yesterday it wasn't necessary. I'm glad they're her friends, I'll have to tell them HELLO for her next time I'm there.

And yes. Anything from Goodwill has a 'goodwill' smell. I immediately washed the pants when I got home and the smell came out. Thank goodness.

  • The Glen Mills one is one of them that are close to me, I've never really found anything there!  Although, I normally don't have the patience to look through EVERYTHING.   I normally just go in there looking for random things, especially for Halloween costumes.
