Dry Shampoo

Anyone use it? I tried it a few years ago but wasn't impressed. However, now my hair is shorter and I shower far less often...so I'm thinking something might be better than nothing. Anyone have a rec?

Re: Dry Shampoo

  • I bought tresemme and only used it once. It did make my hair appear less oily, but it still felt gross. That was also when I had really long hair though.

  • I've used suave and it was ok, and now I use tresemme.  I find spraying it on a fine tooth comb and hitting my roots is better than spraying directly.

  • I should add my hair is extra oily, which is stupid because my skin on my body is extra, extra dry. So it would probably work on someone that had normal hair lol.

I'm that way too. If I don't wash it every day it looks like it's wet- gross. My skin is pretty dry also...maybe we're long lost twins ;)
  • I've tried both Tresemme and Suave and prefer Suave but it doesn't work wonders or anything and it's really just spraying baby powder onto your hair.

My mom and sister swear by baby powder. I have a gift card to Ulta so I'm going to go see what they have, and might end up buying something totally different.

That's how mine is too! My family affectionately calls me "Greasy Lynn" (Lynn is my middle name) if I don't shower for a day. Creeps.

  • I have the Suave stuff. I will say that so far, the only thing I like about it is the price. I actually used it today because I was running super late, but I think I will end up washing my hair before youth tonight.

I asked about it on twitter one day & two of my friends swear by the stuff Ulta sells. I just haven't had time to go up to the store on Concord Pike to look at their selection.

  • Haha my middle name is Lynn too... very popular 80's MN

I've tried the Suave, Tresseme and Got 2B - I liked the Got 2B the best.  Pretty much all of them really make your hair feel even more nasty than it originally was, but it does help to make it look less oily.
