Thanks to @fabk for gifting this to me in the exchange!  I really liked it. Maybe not 5 stars, but definitely 3 or 4.  It took me a while to get invested (WTH is a Grisha? Why do we care? Get your shit together already, Alina!) but once the basics were revealed, I was hooked.  The second half of the book really sucked me in.

But now I have a big problem!  Do I read Siege and Storm or Allegiant????

  • Go for Allegiant! The last Grisham book has yet to come out- less wait time. :)

That's the best kind of swooning.

  • SIEGE AND STORM IT IS.

Given the less than enthusiastic response thus far over Allegiant, I can wait.

@MrsC7  I never felt dirty or guilty for swooning over him.  But then again, my morals are very questionable anyway.

  • I have a total thing for bad boys.  If we were both single, I'd bet Booney and I would have major girl fights over the same men.  Having said that, the Darkling is TOO bad boy for me.  I like bad boys with some kind of redeeming quality.  The Darkling doesn't seem to have one.

  • @MrsJenE  We would totally fight over boys if we were both single (Thank goodness we are both married so now we can just limit our fights over who gets the 6-1/2's when we shoe shop together).

@MrsJenE Who needs redeeming qualities.  Highly overrated.  If he has no redeeming qualities he can never disappoint you.  Therefore, doesn't that make him the perfect man?

The thing that bothers me is that he doesn't seem to actually care about her while ripping off her kefta.  She's just a pawn.  Once again, no redeeming quality.
