DH's vision of Four (ns)

DH just finished his reread of Divergent and Insurgent and is now reading Allegiant.  We had ESPN on last night and a picture of Nick Foles, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, comes on the screen.  DH says, "That looks like Four."  I say, "Four?  As in Tobias?  THAT'S your FOUR??!?!?!?"  I tell him that my Four looks nothing like that.  He gives me a weird look and says, "Oh, I don't think Four is supposed to be good looking."  Oh DH...

So this is DH's Four...

Well, in his defense... in book 2, Tris says that Tobias' ears stick out & he has a hook nose... maybe YH what thinking about that part????

If I stop laughing for a bit, I think it's interesting how we all expect the male lead to be swoonworthy because, well, we are female.  But if a guy reads it, he has completely different views.

That is whay I was wondering how he envisions Tris. Is it the opposite for men?

It mentions several times that he has a hook nose. And it mentions like a zillion times that he has enormous hands/long fingers, which really creeps me out. Makes me think of this guy:


But I reject all of that.

I'll have to ask him later.  I don't really care one way or the other if a female lead is hot.

FWIW neither of those guys is the way I picture Four.  Of the names I've seen tossed around I think Alexander Ludwig is closest.  I can't get over Theo James's age.
