Re: Manic Monday

  • Weekend highs: getting an escrow overage check!  Hello new boots!  And probably curtains for our bedroom and dining room.

Weekend lows: Jeff didn't tell work he couldn't do a second run Saturday so we didn't go to my college roommate's house.  I was going to go alone, but she said it was ok if we wanted to reschedule.  So we're going in 2 weekends, and Jeff isn't going to work.  He needs to tell them he can work Monday or Saturday, not both!  Especially since they aren't giving bonuses for it now.

  • Highs- Lots of down time to read and work on the house. Made a really great crab bisque soup.

Lows- The house is a wreck because I ran out of energy at about 4pm yesterday. My washing maching needs a service call because its not working. At. All.

Highs - having a fairly relaxing weekend at home. Didn't have too much to do so we just hung out alot. Oh, and we bought our deep freezer...hopefully we can fit this week's supply in our freezer until its delivered on Thursday!

Lows - the Eagles....although I've come to expect such horrible games. Closing up the beach for the winter.

  • Highs: I've worked on getting C out of my bed. She slept SO well Friday night and last night

Lows: N was working outside a lot this weekend and so I was pretty bored.

  • Highs- Lots of family time. Pumpkin carving, it was the first year A did his entire pumpkin by himself.

Lows- got into a giant blow up with my sister. At this point it doesn't look like we'll be speaking by Thanksgiving.

  • Highs: Literally the whole weekend!  Friday I did crafts and baked treats with my cousin's 3 little girls and my nephew, saturday was the Sea Witch parade and we took my little cousin trick or treating, sunday we went out with some friends and watched the dog parade on the boardwalk.

Lows: I will second the Eagles.

  • Highs - We had a really great family day at Coleman's yesterday. It's so nice there! I love that they have the free hayride and the free playground. Plus they had some amazing cider and pulled pork sandwiches that weren't overly expensive. I feel like Milburn's nickel and dimes you for everything.

Lows - Our buyers came up in price but it's still a really low offer and they want us out in 30 days. I want to counter but H just wants to take it to be done with this process. So it caused a huge fight and now I'm so stressed about it.

  • weekend high: getting a good workout in and then taking the dogs on a walk

weekend low: having to yell at Ashley. she is not motivated at all and my patience with her is growing thin. I asked her to pick her blankets up off the sofa and dust the dining room on Friday and she didn't do either.  there was also dog pee on the floor when I got home. so a major fail on her part. I know i'm not her mother but if she's living in my house she can do small stuff every once in a while and I don't think thats a lot to ask.

That sucks...I'm sorry you are dealing with that.  Its such a tough decision and such a headache.  I hope you guys come to an agreement that works for everyone involved!

I don't think this is too much too ask at all!  You shouldn't even have to ask her!

  • High - I just really love whenever H gets to spend time with friends.  It makes me so happy to see him having fun.

Low - I started not feeling well on the ride home from VA.

  • Highs: pretty nice and relaxing weekend! I did a lot of sleeping! I'm so lazy these days!

Lows: Sunday I went out shopping with my mom and fainted in the middle of Buy Buy Baby! I'm ok now, I think I was just dehydrated or something. I must have landed on my finger weird though because it's sprained pretty badly... all bruised and swollen and gross looking! I called my drs office this morning and they just told me to make sure I drink plenty of fluids and eat snacks throughout the day. I swear I'm a mess!

  • Highs - Um. Can I get back to you? I can barely remember this weekend right now because...

Lows - my dad sent me a text on Sunday morning at 4:37. He fell, broke his hip, and had a partial replacement done all inside of 12 hours. I spent a huge chunk of yesterday at the hospital with him, and went back today. It's really hard seeing him in that much pain & it was tough advocating for his pain management today because I had to shush the boys every couple of minutes.

  • Highs...We spent the whole weekend just hanging out and doing stuff as a family. We even went to the pumpkin patch. (even though it was a failed trip and we ended up getting pumpkins at the grocery store ;) )

Lows...M ended up catching DH's cold. Only napped for a hour on Sunday and it was rough couple hours when she first went to bed.

Thank you. He probably needs to go into a rehab facility because of all the PT, which will be awful for his mental faculties, but if it's what he needs, he has to go.

Just remembered a high/funny - the nurse asked me if my dad has a son... Because my last name is a first name. I thought he had DH on there & was like, "....yes, I have a brother but they don't talk. Do you mean a son-in-law?"

I hope he feels better soon! Who is his ortho doctor? I work in orthopedics so I was just curious. Rehab will be good for him if he needs it...it's better than going home and having issues. Although its tough for the patients because they wanna be home and tough for the family to see their family member upset. He'll be back to himself in no time though!

I can't remember the name of the surgeon/doctor, but it was First State Orthopedics who did the surgery.

That's where I work...so there is a good chance I will either be taking care of him once I go back to work or doing his xray...depending on who did the surgery.  He's in good hands though regardless of who did it!

That makes me feel a lot better. I have a friend who works at his kidney doctor's office & for some reason it gives me warm fuzzies that I have a connection there.
