Due date drama!

So initially my due date was 4/23.. Then the NT scan showed me measuring 8 days ahead but when I went for me prenatal appointment the Genetic's MD had changed it in the computer to 4/13 not 4/15. So my OB wanted to do another measurement and when she measured she came up closer to the initial date at 4/25. So she said she isn't going to change it in the computer and we'll see what the anatomy scan shows on 11/26 and will base it off of that since that is even more accurate. DH said oh well, we know it's coming at some point during that time. I said yes, but we don't want them inducing me based on the NT scan date if it's wrong.

The only good thing that came out of all of this, we got to see baby again and it was all active and even waved it's hand and we got a good shot of all 5 fingers. So cute! and DS went with us and he heard the heart beat and made the cutest surprised, what was that look. It was priceless!

Re: Due date drama!

  • I'm sorry about the drama!

and I love that your DS was suprised when he heard the hb, ha!

  • Sorry they can't make up their minds. It is kind of important.

So sweet that you got to share the heartbeat sound with DS :)

  • Wow that would be driving me crazy. Your initial post about this after your scan seemed straightforward to me but now I'm annoyed for you! Lol

Fortunately if induction comes in to play you can probably hold them off with NST's.

And love your DS's reaction! Cute!

  • Sorry about the due date drama. I'm about to have some due date drama of my own I think because SIL is due on 6/14/2014 with baby #2 and I'm predicting my DD to be 6/29/2014, just about two weeks after her. She is really awful though (Don't get me started on the stories) and she's going to be so mad when she finds out that we are pregnant and that she actually will have to share the spotlight.

So glad you got to see the baby and hear the heartbeat!

  • I am sorry they can't make a decision but I am seriously side eyeing them for changing it at all in the first place. I was measuring at 2w ahead at my NT scan, and 3w ahead at my AS. They never changed my due date and my daughter came 2 days earlier than my due date.

  • Thanks ladies!! It definitely is annoying.

@Amberly18 that is why my NP wants to wait until the a/s and she said she feels confident that we were spot on with the dating the first time and she justified it at my appointment by re-measuring. I think I'm even more annoyed that the genetic's doctor acted like he knew best and that my OB/NP isn't as highly skilled at measuring as they are. I just raised my eyebrows and was like whatever.
