Holiday Baking

I love to bake all types of things for the Christmas Holiday.  Is it okay to bake things in advance and freeze them?  I wasn't sure how cookies and such turned out after being frozen.  What types of things do you bake ahead and freeze for the holiday season?

Re: Holiday Baking

  • ive made the dough ahead of time and frozen it but have not tried to freeze cookies.  If there are any types of breads you make, those can easily be frozen.

  • A coworker of mine freezes unfrosted cupcakes for a big bake sale she does every year; they turn out fine.

  • I like to freeze cookies. They turn out very well. I use freezer bags to freeze them in and just take them out of the freezer a few days before I am going to eat/serve them.
