Christmas tablescape on the cheap?

Hello! I am looking for some easy DIY ideas and/or cheap product references to make a pretty Christmas tablescape. I'd love to do whites, silvers, browns (pine cones) and greens (pine boughs). Not sure where to get this stuff or how to make it cheap!? Any ideas?
Here is my Pinboard:

  • dollar tree always has a variety of holiday decor and a lot of it doesn't look cheap.

  • I second the Dollar Tree idea. I just picked up some candlesticks and I'm planning on spray painting them to look like silver mercury glass. I've been saving some small boxes that I'm going to put on the table to add various heights and just cover them with either fabric or wrapping paper, and then place the candlesticks and other decorations on top of those..

There is a website that I sometimes check out for craft supplies that you might find useful too, www.save-on-crafts.com . They have things like vases, branches, wreaths, garland, and tons of other cool stuff. I love browsing the site and seeing what sort of ideas the have.

  • Like PPs I would suggest going to a craft store. Near me there are A.C. Moore and Michaels which always have some kind of midnight madness sale where you get things for cheap. Also, if you are in an area that has pine trees why don't you go walking around your local park with a basket and grab a few...I did this with my mom when I was younger.
