To answer my own question:
I think I'm doing well so far. I have a few words over 10k down which is a lot farther than I was at this point last year.
I'm most proud that I've been able to write and not go back and edit as much as I want to, I'm forcing myself not to do so.
I'm struggling with conversations and tension/issues between the FMC and her step-sister. I'm trying to make it tense but I don't think it's coming out the way I had hoped.
How is everyone doing? I'm a bit behind where I hoped to be, but I should finish up the day with about 10K words, which is on track. I'm not going to Chicago like I had planned this weekend, so that means I'll have more writing time.
What's your word count? 9490 at the moment, but I plan to get in another 500 or so before I get off work.
Anything you're having issues with or are proud of so far? Dialogue is super hard, especially flirty dialogue. I'm so proud that I'm actually doing it though. I still can't believe I came up with a story and have as much written as I do.
My first two chapters are going to need serious revisions or a giant delete button, but I'm getting more comfy with my characters and it is so much easier to write about them.
