Snacks

I have officially hit the stage of OMG I am hungry all the time and need all the food!  What are some good snacks you guys had during the day that are healthy and have protein in them?  I want to make sure I get in enough protein.  I am trying really hard to not turn to sugary snacks, which is what I typically want!

Re: Snacks

  • Celery or carrots with PB? Apple slices with cheese? Greek yogurt is a daily thing for me already because of the calcium and protein (not to mention the yum factor!).

  • I totally didn't think about Greek yogurt!  And the peanut butter is a good idea too.  Thanks for the suggestions!  Today I just had some cottage cheese and canned peach slices.

  • because of my GD, I have to have 3 snacks a day which include protein.  I've been having a lot of greek yogurt, apples with almond butter (or an apple with nuts), peanut butter toast, veggies with hummus, cottage cheese, and cheddar cheese sticks.

    ...hello out there!

I always have celery and almond butter to snack on. or string cheese, nuts - generally almonds but I have been snacking on cashews lately because they're a good/bad snack:), and make sure you've gotten a decent amount of protein in your lunch.

and i'm also kind of craving sweet stuff so i've made sure to have snacks like grapes on hand so I don't feel like I have to find candy

  • I eat a lot of string cheese, almonds, celery w/ almond butter and granola bars. I also take a lot of fruits and veggies in my lunch box, so I'm not tempted to get candy.

  • Apples, Greek yogurt (I like the vanilla one), granola bars and cheese sticks are my go-to.
Congrats to my TTC buddy Madeline! Cheering for all the strong 3T ladies!

  • Thanks for the suggestions ladies!  Before getting pregnant, I was really supposed to avoid dairy.  But now I crave it like crazy and those seem to be some of the easiest snacks that have protein in them!
