GTKY: Living

Where would you never want to live?

Re: GTKY: Living

  • the middle east for obvious reasons

Anywhere where it is cold and dark for large portions of the year.  It's 25° here today and I'm whining because it's too cold.

  • I would never want to live somewhere with very heavy traffic, like LA. I can't stand traffic!

I also could never live somewhere with very steep hills where my poor car would slide around in the winter months.

  • I couldn't live anywhere cold it's 50 here today and I'm like it's time to break out the big jackets. Alaska would be the worst.

Also not in a big city. I kind of like my small town.
  • anywhere cold and dark...and Im pretty happy in the USA...sorry to our Canadian friends!

  • Anywhere the weather is extreme, it's completely isolated, or overcrowded. Basically anything extreme one way or another. If I could find a mid-size town where it's 70 year round I would be happy.

You should move here then. It's not 70 year round and it gets pretty hot in the summer but everything else sounds about right.
  • I like where we live now weather wise. Today it is 65 but windy. I would like to live in a bit of a better neighborhood. I don't want to live in a small town not enough to do. So mid sized city not to crazy of traffic.

  • The prairie provinces...(sorry Cate)

I lived in Alberta for a year and was sooo homesick for mountains and the ocean....and felt like an outcast because I am far more "left wing" liberal then most of the people I met there.
