Inquiring minds want to know! How did the 5k go? How was everything? Glad to see your sister and BIL made it.
Re: Lisa, how was Disney?
We were away for 11 days. 6 in orlando, and then 5 at Disney itself.
We tried to go to Universal, but that was the one bad weather day of the trip. We got there and it started to pour, so we went to the Universal movie theater and saw Cloudy with a chance of meatballs. The movie stopped and it was still ugly, so I used my gift cards to get the kids and me something at the gift shop. I ended up with a Ravenclaw shirt--I didn't like Gryffendor, and I think I'm more wise than brave anyway, so it worked.
Sunday we did Sea World--it's Steve's favorite park in Orlando, and the boys love it as well.
I took them to Legoland Monday. What a gorgeous property. I was there as a little kid when it was Cypress Gardens. They had a Lego Southern belle at the entrance to the garden part, and I told Jackson about how there were actual women dressed like that at the gardens when I was little. He couldn't believe that when I was little there was no Lego at the park at all
We took a day to go to the Orlando Science Center and another rest and swim at the pool before heading to Disney. (Steve worked Monday - Wednesday down there).
Thursday we work early to get to Disney and hit the morning EMH at Magic Kingdom. We had a great morning there, and then spent the afternoon at Epcot.
My sister and her husband arrived Friday. I picked up race packs for all of us in the morning, and we met at the Magic Kingdom to go on some rides.
Saturday morning was my 5K. it went great for Jonny and I. I was slow, and my back started hurting at mile 1.5, but I finished. We went to downtown Disney and had lunch, then came back to swim. Lori's race was that night.
She wasn't sure what she'd think of the half or of a race that only started at 10pm, but she absolutely loved it. Way more than she thought she would. Her goal was a 7:50/mile time, but she had knee problems that slowed her down. She said it may have been a blessing though, because she decided to do the race totally for fun. She was enough in front that she stopped without any wait to meet the characters, took pictures at the Osborne lights, and had a great time. She ended up averaging 9:00/mile. Got to the party around 12:30 and we stayed until 3. We all had a great time. In fact, we had so much fun that we decided we want to do a 2 person team for the Glass Slipper Challenge at the princess in 2015. That sold out in 5 hours when registration opened this summer, so I'll have to be quick to get us both signed up.
I got 3 hours of sleep Saturday night, then we started the day at Animal Kingdom. From there we went to Hollywood to see the Osborne Lights, and then Magic Kingdom to see Wishes. On Sunday, between midnight and 9 I managed to spend some time in all 4 parks.
We left Monday, but not before hitting Hollywood Studios and getting Jackson into the Star Wars Academy.
I got Photopass Plus, and I'm already editing my pictures. in 4 days at the parks, I have about 400 shots, so I was pretty happy with it. I'm going to try and attach a few photos from my phone in a separate post. I haven't downloaded my nice pictures yet.

Steve had Michael on his shoulders to watch Jackson, and when Darth Vader came out, he started yelling Stroller!! Stroller!! He didn't like Darth.
Michael happily spent the rest of the show in his stroller relaxing.
We ate lunch at the Sci Fi Dine In (we all really liked it) and then took Jackson on Star Tours before we had to leave for the airport.
:-O
But, it was pushing Liam's nap time, so he actually fell asleep in my dad's arms while waiting for the show to start. So he missed the whole thing, but at least we didn't have to worry about him being tackled by security.
