Help?

D had a birthday party for a classmate on Saturday. What on earth do I get for a six year old girl?

Re: Help?

  • Most girls that age love art supplies. For my cousins birthday I just went to WalMart and bought her a pack of construction paper, markers, colored pencils, stickers, etc. Spent around $20. Even found a tote bag on clearance to put it all in. She loved it. :)

  • I agree with @klm42404 - Lilly loves art supplies.  Last year for her birthday she asked for a horse, a unicorn or a paint set.  Guess what we got her?  Any kind of stuff animal too, or play jewelry.  Lilly loves the little pet shop toys.

  • I think art supplies is a good idea. For my nieces I usually go up to Burlington. They have cheap little purses or lunch bags for the girls, and then I fill that up with stuff like those feather pens, stickers, stationary, and whatever else I can find. They both got a whole bag full of stuff for under $20 and they loved it.

  • Thank you!

Her birthday party is at the Michael's on 202, so I guess I should have taken that into consideration. (I am brain fried, though, so. May I use that as a valid excuse?)

  • Rainbow Looms. It's all the rage. Seriously.

If I find another rubber band on the floor the rainbow loom is getting "lost".

  • The girls in my class last year were all about writing in their "diaries," which were basically glorified notebooks.  Throw something like that in with some fancy pens/markers and maybe some stickers and you'll be set!
