Re: ~~~~~Mommy & M2B Monday~~~~~

  • How many weeks are you? 32 tomorrow... yikes

When is your EDD? January 14th

How are you feeling? Tired. I was really sick yesterday with a stomach bug and I'm still recovering. Plus, we had our shower and diaper party yesterday too.

What are you craving? Nothing, food is really gross today. I barely want water.

What is grossing you out? Food.

Have you bought/received anything for the baby lately? Yep, a pile of stuff that needs to be gone through. :-) People were so generous yesterday!

Ultrasounds? Betas? Appointments? Appointment next week... they'll be looking to see if baby has moved out of transverse. Come on kid.

Have you / will you found out the sex? Nope, team green

Any names picked out? Just a boy name... we really need to get on a girl name

How is the nursery coming along? PIPs? Themes? It has a crib in it! We've made progress... now, if the crib was assembled.

Anything else you would like to add or PIP? Nah, I need to go into work, I took the morning off. I feel like a college kid recovering from a hangover.

  • Anything else you would like to add or PIP? I keep reading that m/s in 1st tri is a great indicator of a healthy pregnancy. I've had ZERO m/s. I haven't been turned off to anything, whatsoever. I really don't even feel pregnant. I want to feel something so I know everything's all right in there until I go in for my first appt in a couple more weeks! Anyone want to share their experiences in that vein?
Don't worry that you don't have m/s yet.  I know I didn't get m/s until 6.5-7 weeks.  Enjoy not having it right now!  You'll be wishing for these days when it hits...IF it hits.  There's always the possibility you won't have m/s.

Jenna is right about symptoms not showing up till 6w. But I didn't have ms till 16 weeks. I really had zero symptoms besides exhaustion in the first tri.

  • @LuckyAngel07  I really didn't have morning sickness at all.  I would sometimes get a little queasy at night and have food aversions, but that was only a few nights.  Other than that, there was nothing!  And so far everything is good with my pregnancy.  Some people are just lucky and don't have to deal with ms!

  • @LuckyAngel07 - Thanks.  Nope, the kids were just dressed up for their cousin's Baptism this weekend.

And also don't worry about not having morning sickness, just enjoy it and hope it stays away.  With both of my kids I was lucky and did not have a day of morning sickness, food aversions, or queasiness.  The only symptom I showed in the beginning was exhaustion.

I have 3 friends who basically never experienced M/S and went on to have complication-free pregnancies.  Just becaues you're not sick doesn't mean you don't have the hormones in your body, it just means you might process them better than the rest of us! It's normal.

  • @JennaHack, @MRads, @sparklingdiamond, and @bobcee, thanks for your responses! I know I really shouldn't be worried I'm not having nasty symptoms, just be thankful, it's just hard to feel so utterly normal when I know there's a little niblet in there! The only thing telling me anything's different right now is my sore boobs (sometimes more, sometimes less) and drinking so much water (and being a little tired sometimes).

My sister didn't have any m/s (as far as I can recall), though she was fairly put off chicken for a while. I don't remember when that started. My mom had very mild m/s with my sister and me, but horrible m/s with my brothers. Guess genetics aren't everything when it comes to how your body responds to being pregnant!

I have another vote for no morning sickness. I had some very mild nausea around the 8 week mark, but it went away quickly. You definitely still have time for sickness to kick in, but even if not, I'm sure you have a healthy LO cooking in there :)

I seriously hate that people say that.  I had very little nausea in the beginning and even when i did, it was just a low grade queasiness.  If it makes any difference, LO is doing just fine so far :)

  • @LuckyAngel07 Another vote for normal... with all four of my pregnancies, I never had anything other than queasiness, and that always started after 6 weeks or so. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

    For Mommies-to-be:

How many weeks are you? 33w5d

    When is your EDD? 1/1/2014

How are you feeling? I hurt. A lot. I think carpal tunnel has set in and my wrists and fingers hurt quite a bit, especially in the mornings. I'm going to talk to my doctor about what I can do tomorrow, but I'm afraid there's not much I can do besides have this baby.

    What are you craving? Nothing.

What is grossing you out? Nothing.

Have you bought/received anything for the baby lately? The glider and swing were delivered last week, and we set up the swing yesterday. The glider is still in a box, but we plan to put that together next week some time. We also got some plastic bins for toys, etc. All we need now is a dresser and a few little items like burp cloths, bottles, receiving blankets, etc.

Ultrasounds? Betas? Appointments? Next appointment is tomorrow.

Have you / will you found out the sex? It's a girl.

Any names picked out? Elle Rose

How is the nursery coming along? PIPs? Themes? It's a mess, but it's slowly coming along. I still need to purchase the artwork and some shelves, but they are picked out.

Anything else you would like to add or PIP? Not today.

QOTW - I suck at thinking of questions.  Can anyone think of one?? Ha! I can barely think of my own name right now... lol

  • @LuckyAngel07 I have a perfectly healthy 18 month old who gave me no morning sickness whatsoever.  LO #2 hasn't been too bad either and seems to be doing just fine.  It's probably still too early for m/s, but if you don't get it at all just embrace it and be happy.

    For Mommies-to-be:

How many weeks are you?  Ummm.......I think 28w 5d, but I'll have to check my ticker after I post.

When is your EDD?  Feb 12

    How are you feeling?  good

What are you craving?  All of the things I'm not supposed to eat right now

What is grossing you out?  Nothing

Have you bought/received anything for the baby lately?  Nope, I need to order the new nursery stuff and find some long sleeve onesies and a take home outfit, but I have some time.

Ultrasounds? Betas? Appointments?  Have an appointment tomorrow to see how my amniotic fluid level is doing and whether the change in diet did the trick.

Have you / will you found out the sex?  team green

Any names picked out?  nope, everytime I ask DH when we're going to figure this out he shrugs me off.  I have first names picked out more or less if he's going to be an ass.

How is the nursery coming along? PIPs? Themes?  It's still Lucy's room right now

Anything else you would like to add or PIP?

QOTW - I suck at thinking of questions.  Can anyone think of one??

    Already Mommies:

Best part of your week? Nothing special really, just lots of fun giggles last night.

Worst part of your week?  Nothing bad, she didn't nap well yesterday and didn't go to bed well Saturday night, but both were fine.

Milestones?  Hmmm.......nothing too earth shattering lately.  She can almost say Echo (the dog's name) but it comes out Decko.  She's learning to be more gentle with Echo and her dolls, and she's climbing more.

    PIP those kiddos!

QOTW - See M2B - I suck.  Can you think of one?

Worst part of your week? K is still has not slept through the night.  It looks like her tooth is on verge of breaking through, but I feel like I have been saying that for a few weeks now.

Milestones? She is grabbing for everything!  And she'll sit up in her Boppy for a few minutes at a time now.

  • also @luckyangel07 I didn't have any m/s either. at about 6 weeks for about a week or two I needed to eat first thing in the morning or I would feel really off, but that was about it.
