So I ordered a crib through Amazon through a third party seller (Wayfair) on the 11th. Amazon says I'm getting said crib, Wayfair sends me their little order confirm telling me I am getting a bar stool/swivel chair. First email I send them about this error asking to confirm what I am actually recieving, they respond back saying "you're order is in process and you'll recieve it by X date" No, that's not what I asked at all. So I email them again, and they respond back saying Amazon made the mistake, they gave us the wrong item number so we'll cancel your order" Great, wonderful. I get a response back the next day saying "Sorry, item left the warehouse already but once we get a tracking number we'll re-route it back and issue you're refund" Perfect, thanks.
Guess what showed up on my door on the 14th? You guessed it, a chair. So again, I go back to Wayfair and get a generic "here's how you return an item email" that also states something along the lines of I'm responsible for scheduling it to be picked up and the cost to return it. So I call customer service Friday (& emailed them), they both tell me since it wasn't my error that I am not responsible for the charge to send it back. Take off the old labels, throw on this return item number and put it outside, UPS will be by, possibly Monday (18th) to pick it up and they'll leave notes for each attempt. Rushing out the door Monday we forget but UPS also didn't leave a note saying they had even been by so we put it out that night. Nothing Tuesday or Wednesday. Called Wayfair to confirm that all I needed was to put that number on my package and they'd be by. Yup, that's all you have to do they say and also "if it hasn't been picked up in THREE WEEKS (?!?) give us a call again. Nothing yesterday (even though they can by and dropped off something to us). So I call UPS, they have no record of such a pick up order and the number Wayfair gave me means nothing. They need their tracking number to know to pick this thing up. I just sent another email to Wayfair about such a tracking number.
This is rediculous. I want my money back and I want the chair gone. Leaving a package outside my door is dangerous (even if no one can really see it on my door). I'm not waiting three weeks on a mistake they made. Wayfair can bite my ass.
Re: NBR-Wayfair can bite me
Originally yes, when I was trying to figure out how to return the package. They said I needed to go through Wayfair instead.

I'm sorry about the ordeal though. It would make my blood boil too.
