$10 Grab bag idea?

so my aunt proposed a $10 grab bag among the cousins this year. I am way ok with that, but then comes the ideas that are not lame. Silly is ok- we are all a bunch of weirdos. But it would need to be something for either a male of female between the ages of like 18 and 36. Any fun ideas floating around besides gift cards and booze?

  • So far I have checked out ThinkGeek's site as well as uncommon goods. I am also open to suggestions of sites/stores with fun little gifts.
  • gift cards!
  • There are a lot of games that are $10 and under. (Farkel, LCR dice game, etc.)

Target has a section of $5 and $10 gifts that I've bought grab bag gifts from before - like a travel coffee mug that you could plug into the car to keep warm, etc.

My go-to's are usually booze or gift cards, so my creativity is lacking!

  • Lottery tickets?

Two DVDs from DVD sales going on right now? I just bought the full series of Firefly for $5.99 on Amazon.

We used to do that and one year someone gave a giant 3 foot candy cane full of twizzlers

  • We have a ban on gift cards in Nathan's family. Everyone felt it was just a money swap, so we have to buy an actual gift. But ours is a bit easier because we get assigned one person and we get a list of ideas.

I like the idea of a travel mug or tevis cup. I usually scour the clearance endcaps at Target or Starbucks.

  • Hmm....movie basket - popcorn, bowl, candy, etc.  You could or could not include an actual movie.  Check 5Below and the Target Dollar Spot.  They usually have movie themed stuff.

Tickets to the movie theater?  (I guess that's not much different than a gift card.)

Christmas Ornament (Wendell August has some for $15.  Not sure how firm your pricing is.)

    Coffee/Tea collection?

  • You could get $10 worth of chapsticks. I am a fan of Burt's Bees and they always have cute little sets for $10 at Target/Ulta/Wal-Mart. I am always of the theory you can never have too much lip balm in the winter, male or female.
