another gift question

Along the lines of our advent calendar...  I was sharing that idea with my cousin.  She was telling me about her friends that started a home here in town for homeless young moms.  They provide a safe place for them, get them on track with schooling and a job until they are stable enough to support themselves and their baby in their own place. 

She sent me an email yesterday with their newletter, stating that they are always needing donations and gave a list of items they would like.  One was 5 of the same hygeine items to be split between the girls. 

I would like to do this.. but what do you think I should get?  Fun things from a store like bath and body works?  Or more practical things?  (I guess you can kinda combine the two right)

Just looking for opinions.

I would personally go to target or walmart and get a couple of items for 5 people. They still sell fun, nice smelling things. But if price isn't a problem go with Bath and Body Works.

Well, the only reason why I was thinking b&bw is because we do black friday shopping & I would get the items then.

Then go for it! I avoid Black Friday so I don't even think of the savings.

I think Bath and Body works would be great if price isn't an issue for you! I'm sure it would feel like such a treat for them as opposed to the standard stuff they usually get.

I agree - if you can do the cost of bath and body works, I think the girls would love that.
