What is your favorite red gloss?
I'm coming over from TK and TB to ask.
I'm looking for a red gloss that is for cool toned skin, so preferably a pure red or a blue-based red as opposed to yellow.
I have some red lipsticks that I like, but I'm looking for a gloss as I want something a little less saturated in color, and also shiny. I want it to look a little less fussy than a full-on red lipstick. The glosses I have tried (can't think of brands right now) were almost TOO sheer.
There has to be something in the middle---something between a hard opaque lipstick and certain super-sheer glosses that come off looking like a slightly pink color.
I'm sure Sephora has something I want, but I tend to get overwhelmed with tons of choices right in front of me. I was wondering if someone can send me in the right direction, even a brand recommendation.
Re: What is your favorite red gloss?
Also, the Revlon lip butters are similar, again they have lost of colors. My favorite from that line is Peach Parfait. Im glad they are only like 7 bucks, cause I would seriously pay a lot more for that Peach Parfait! Google swatches of the colors and do reviews of the formula.
Since discovering these drug store gems, I rarely reach for my high end stuff. I seriously love them. Again, do swatches because some of the darker colors are a little more opaque than sheer. But both have tons of color and color bases to chose from.
I think Revlon Lip Butter may be what I'm looking for. There's Candy Apple and Cherry Tart. Candy Apple, in the store, appears more warm (orangeish) then I want, so I'm going to try Cherry Tart.
Thanks.
