I got a haircut, definitely needed.  I told her I wanted LONG layers, she chopped it all off.  I have always had long hair, and now I can barely put it up in a ponytail.  I have to wear it up for work, and now I have no idea what to do.  I cried in my car when I left the place.  I am so sad....

That's not cool, sorry! Hopefully it grows back soon! Try biotin 10,000 mcg daily, that stuff is crazy for your hair!!!! It makes ALL your hair grow crazy fast...

Thanks @srcr2011 I hope it does.  I am just sooo not used to shorter hair like this.  Even my H noticed and said she really chopped it off.  Just sad..

Well try the biotin and try to embrace the change, or hats. lol Sorry. I have always had long hair and get so tempted to cut it short sometimes. FYI, with Biotin, you will be shaving more frequently. Give it a couple of weeks and you WILL notice the growth.

I am taking prenatals right now, there is biotin in that, should I take an extra supplement?  O and girl, I shave a grip already as it is, lol no no worries on that..  I know I have always been tempted to go shorter too, just whenever it got a little more than I wanted I hated it, so I never did.  This one, she screwed me. Lol, I wasn't trying to go short damnet woman!  She should NOT cut hair!

That reminds me of my husband, he went in for a hair cut and his usual person was not there, he really need one and went with some random lady. She told him not to worry, she has been cutting hair for 15 years. He was soooo mad! He looked so funny! He almost buzzed his whole head! lol. It was the weirdest cut ever! I take 2 10,000 tabs daily and a PNV. Biotin is a water soluble vitamin, it is extremely difficult to get too much. Any excess in your system is peed out.

Awe, I feel for ya! It will grow back. Biotin does seem to help. Between that and the prenatals you'll have your hair back in no time!

I'm sorry your hair stylist cut your hair shorter than you wanted!  I will tell you that I've gone from a pixie to slightly below my shoulders all within less than a year.  I find that taking a Folic Acid vitamin made a huge difference in how quickly my hair grew out (and made my nails grow long and strong--bonus!)  For the time being, rock your short hair look You might end up liking it more and more after the shock value wears off.

Aww, I hate when that happens! The Biotin should definitely help- biotin is like the elixir of the hair gods! I got my hair "trimmed" last month (and by "trimmed" I mean from mid-back to just below my shoulders....someone apparently sucks at measurement lol), and on top of that she made my layers super short, so big chunks won't even stay up. I definitely feel your pain. On the plus side, FI actually noticed the difference! (That never happens).

Since my hair has become a real bugger to put up in a ponytail, I've started using headbands and flowers to try and dress it up and keep it out of my face. Maybe you could try playing with accessories as it grows out? Or even playing with texture (my straightener has been awesome because it makes the layers longer

Should also add that hair can grow faster than you think too- FI got a haircut a couple days before I did, and instead of the hairdresser trimming the top and sides (his hair was kind of like Brad Pitts way back when he used to guest star on Friends), she friggin' buzzed it to about 1/4 an inch all over! (He was so worried I'd hate it that he cried on the way home, poor guy XD)

A month later, his is pretty much back to where it was before the buzz, so there is hope for us!

This has happened to me so many times....however I learned something new about why I was always so upset after I cut my hair short. I've usually had long hair, but occasionally get that I'm going to cut all my hair off itch, and usually end-up in tears. 

This time I went Pixie-cut...it's been fantastic! I hated the additional work that came with the short hair that couldn't go into a pony. now I don't have to do anything with it! 

although now I want to go back to long and it's going to be a long road back there

at least hair grows.

Mane & Tail Shampoo is supposed to help with hair growth, but I've never tried it before.
