Talk to me about the Rhogram shot. How bad is it honestly? Did you have any side effects after? Anything else I should know?

    I got the rhogam shot. Honestly, it just made me feel sleepy and a little nauseous. Mostly sleepy though. Nothing catastrophic. However, I've been hypersensitive to shots this entire pregnancy so I'm probably not the person to ask.

    Glad the b/w went well! My rhogam shot was fine. It's IM, so sort of feels like a flu shot. The only side effect i had was a sore arm

    dx with anovulatory PCOS 2005
    off bcp 11/11
    a few rounds of clomid and femara... no response.
    injectables/IUI 12/12... BFN
    Feb 13 IVF cycle converted down to IUI due to low follicle response... BFFN
    one last IVF attempt April/May 2013: 19 retrieved. 10 fertilized. 2 transferred in a 3dt. 4 frosties... BFP!!
    EDD: 1/21/14... Induced early at 36+6. Our LO was born 12/30/13

    Yay. I had to get the rhogam shot multiple times each pregnancy due to some bleeding. I had no side effects besides soreness. The doc advised me to massage the area to help that. I've had it both in the arm and butt (really high up) and I suggest the butt on the side you don't tend to sleep on.

    I ask because I always have shot issues. I am getting it 2 hrs before working a long shift.

    I am getting it in the butt too.

    It's really not bad and actually goes in the hip. My hip was a little stiff the next day but moving will help it feel better quicker. Which reminds me, I need to talk to my dr to double check when I need mine again, I think not until 28 weeks.

    @pistolpackinmomma - I was told 28 weeks because it's good for 12. I am getting mine at 27. I don't know if this is a problem though.

    I have no experience with the shot but I'm glad the draw went well!

    TTC since May 2010. DX Unexplained IF.  IUI #1 in August 2012. Clomid, Menopur plus Ovidrel. BFN.  IUI #2 in September 2012.  Clomid, Menopur plus Ovidrel.  BFN. IUI #3 in October 2012. BFN.  IVF in April/May 2013: BFP.  Due February 2, 2014 Thank you God!

    You will get another one after delivery if baby is R+ anyhow. I don't think the week will really be a huge deal.
