Fitness post

How has everyone been doing?

I did really well when we were away for Thanksgiving. I loved being able to run in warmer temps. It reminded me that I don't despise running I just despise the dark and cold!!

But since being back I am struggling! I only ran once last week and went over the weekend so it wouldn't be dark. I wouldn't really call it running though!! Ugh! I just can't run in the cold. I'm so uncomfortable! I'm starting to really consider getting a treadmill. I want to start looking on CL or play it again sports. I guess I could do it at my gym but its hard enough to get away for my Zumba!

Otherwise we have been busy and I couldn't make a couple Zumba classes. I'm hoping to get them in this week.

Re: Fitness post

  • now while I like a cold run I have not been very active lately.  I can't recall what made me fall off of the wagon so hard, but it persisted through a cold, a trip for work, weird dizzy issues after said trip from another cold and my ear pressure being out of whack, thanksgiving, EJ's birthday.... excuses were plentiful!

I had a 5k over the weekend that I had fun at, but didn't break any speed records. In fact it was my slowest 5k yet, by a good 5 minutes. But I ran the whole thing.  I want to get back into a routine but I am realistic it won't happen today or tomorrow. Perhaps this weekend I will have better odds. But I am getting soft, and the lbs are inching back on (tis the season...) I would like to get back into a normal routine before the gym gets insane with new years resolution folks.
  • I'm so frustrated. I need something to kick my motivation into gear. I'm 20 pounds heavier than I want to be and would like to establish a more consistent fitness routine before I get pregnant again. Two weeks ago I fell down my stairs and severely bruised my tailbone to the point it still hurts to walk somedays. I tried to go back to Zumba on Saturday, but couldn't do too much without pain.

So I guess I'm just looking to complain this week. ;) anyone with motivation, please send it my way!

  • Ugh I forgot about the gym influx at the beginning of the year!!

This time of year is so hard for me to be active but the yummy food is plentiful! I am feeling soft and lbs starting as well!

  • I need to get back on the wagon especially since I have another family wedding next year and I am not liking what is going on in the mirror. The main problem is that I loved the place I used to go to, tons of classes and it was so cheap! But it is a pain to drive an hour round trip for class.

I really wanted to try pure barre since everyone raves about it then I looked at the pricing. Um, what makes one class worth $23 or $225 a month?!? I do belong to LA Fitness which is $24 for the entire month, but it is so full of douchcanoes I can not handle it.
