I'm wishing I could go to bed but I have to stay up. P is just not getting on his flight to come here. It was delayed so he won't arrive until 11pm. My MIL is out to dinner/Xmas party currently. One of us has to stay here and one of us has to go pick up P. I already mentioned to MIL that since she is out if she could just go to the airport on her way back and get him, it would be great. But she said she'll see what time she gets done with her dinner. If she's done earlier than 11 she was going to come home. Sitting here waiting on her, I really would rather MIL go to the airport. So far every time she has watched Lily at night, I come home to an awake and cranky baby because MIL can't get her back to sleep if she wakes up. I've tried to point out that having the TV and a bunch of lights on wakes her up but honestly I don't think my MIL cares because she knows I'll put her to bed when I get home. So long story there but I want her to go to the airport so if Lily does wake up I can put her back to sleep and also because I would really like to go to sleep right now. Lily woke up a lot last night due to teething.
Would it be rude of me to text my MIL and ask her to pick up P from the airport so I can go to bed? Or should I wait up for her to get home and ask her in person? I've already asked but never really got a straight answer from her before she left.
But the main point of the thread, I'm bored waiting up. Anyone else out there?
Re: Bored...
And I might just use that excuse. She has been cranky and teething. So it's not a complete lie.
I'm really sorry, and most of all, I'm sorry for the kids. We never cut the education stuff, and kids need to be happy and mentally healthy before they learn.
