if you're bored, I need baking help!!

I'm taking part in a cookie exchange next Friday (don't ask how I get roped into this every year, I hate baking!)  And while I hate to bake, I also don't want to show up with boring cookies from a package (which is what I normally do)  What are some easy but fun/unique recipes that you may have? 

I'm scouring pinterest right now, so if I find anything fun, I will share it on here, too!

I always like making Oreo or red velvet truffles. Pulverize Oreos/cake mic with cream cheese, make balls & cover with melted chocolate.

I also make peppermint blossoms. A drop sugar cookie base & then I put a candy cane kiss on top as soon as they come out of the oven.

ok, you really have to take it slow with me. when you say melted chocolate..do you melt chips in the microwave? how much cake mix and cream cheese?  Those sound good.  about how many can you get per package of oreos?  I need 4 dozen cookies.

We made those oreo truffle balls over the weekend for our cookie baking day.  We did 2 packages of oreos and I know we have more than 4 dozen.  We dipped ours in to melted almond bark, you can buy it at aldi, and all you have to do is melt it.  (if you use chocolate chips, you have to mix with oil and it's a pain).  However, i will say while they're easy, it's tedious to roll them all and dip them.   

We made grinch cookies that are really good and easy.

You can buy the andes candies already chopped up in a bag like chocolate chips.

The tollhouse recipe except before you mix the wet and dry ingredients together add a cup of corn flake crumbs to the dry ingredients.  Sooo unique and good.

Make chocolate chip cookies according to your favorite recipe and then when you are done, before you bake, top with some caramel chocolate chips (prob. about 6 per cookie) and then sprinkle lightly with sea salt.  --> Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies

so, my mom had leftover stuff to make peanut butter cookies...and she also had some leftover chocolate chips and red M&Ms, so I decided to make these:



the ones that turned out are really cute, but it was much more difficult than I had anticipated!  some of them fell apart when we were trying to put the pieces in, some of them the chocolate chips melted and turned into blobs instead of eyes....I'd say out of the 5 dozen cookies the recipe yielded, we were able to salvage probably 3 dozen.

I like Pillsbury's 3 ingredient cookie recipes. They use the ready made cookie dough, but they're fancied up a bit:

I can vouch for the quick snickerdoodles (just made these for my SILs wedding and they got rave reviews) from the first link, the Christmas Tree sandwich cookies from the second link and one that I got before that I don't see is to make chocolate cookies and as their cooling, put a candy cane hershey kiss on it (so like peanut butter blossoms - but different cookie/kiss flavor).
