Hi GP Moms!

I've been posting on the nest and the bump for a few months now. DH and I got married in Oct 2012. I went off BC in Aug and we just found out we are pregnant last Saturday! I'm really into being on these sites for all the excellent advice and opportunities to speak to people who are going through similar situations. I have already learned so much and I'm really grateful to everyone. A couple days before I knew we were pregnant I had some bleeding, so I had 2 blood tests this week to see how my progesterone and HCG levels are. Next Fri I have us to see if my pregnancy is ectopic. Most people have said it's a precautionary measure. Looking forward to seeing if HCG doubled tomorrow. That's pretty much my story up to today!  Nice to meet you!

Also, FWIW, I'm sure you didn't mean to be a drive by on GP, but the more you stick around and contribute, the more support you will get from everyone. I look forward to getting to know you!

Welcome. We are glad to have you. FWIW if you had lurked a little more on GP you would have known your BFP wouldn't go over well but you truly weren't trying to do a drive by. Apologies and not liking posts made by jerks go a long way toward friendships on gp. I hope your numbers double and everything is great at your u/s. Can't wait to hear more about your lo!

MH can you please not stir up any drama? I genuinely am trying to give theteno the benefit of the doubt that she didn't mean to be a drive by and welcome her to our community. Venti is just concerned she won't stick around.

Me too. If you had lurked, you would have known exactly how that was going to go over, especially with the holidays coming and so many ladies struggling. 

However, that said, congrats! I hope you get good news next week. Stick around.

Hi all, 

Thanks for the warm welcome. FWIW I do plan on sticking around. I'm posting on a few boards right now, here, 1st Trimester, I really liked Trying to Get Pregnant for a long time, but I did feel a little unwelcome with the drive by thing since I didn't mean for that to be the case. Anyways though, I'm on almost every day and I'm checking in, posting, asking questions like someone suggested to me, not venting too much because someone else mentioned that belongs more in a blog... So my purpose here is to share and receive advice and love, prayers, and information... not to insult or anger anyone. Thank you to those of you who are caring and accepting.  I definitely plan on sticking around. I definitely don't know all there is to know about pregnancy and the ladies on thebump haven't steered me wrong yet. I wouldn't leave now!! You are the only ones who know I'm pregnant also aside from my husband. I'm starting to really get attached to having people to talk to like this. It's really a nice thing. So I hope that you can feel that I'm here for you also. I'm doing my best, but I'm truly not as knowledgeable as some of you ladies!
