Have a mansion in the middle of nowhere or an apartment with 10 loved ones: I'm gonna take that mansion. I have a feeling that living in an apartment with my 10 loved ones would cause them to no longer be so loved.  Besides, if I can afford a mansion, I can probably afford to fly them in at will.
