Hi everyone. I miss this place. This is the first time I've sat at a laptop that doesn't involve work in I can't even tell you how long.

I'm okay. Overwhelmed by work & it's just going to get more overwhelming in 2014. I can handle it, but it means not as much time for fun things.
My dad's doing great, actually. After he went to Shipley, he was there about a week & a half. In fact, I'd made a decision to call & see who I needed to talk to get him out of there the day he called me & told me he was going home the next day. He ended up back in the hospital about a week & a half ago because his nose was bleeding [again] & I had not so nice words for the ENT who dared to call me about his progress. It all turned out fine, though. He's doing much better now.
My mom actually left a day early, primarily to miss traffic on her way home.
I just took a break from cleaning the house up to get ready for Wednesday. I can't believe it's Christmas this week.
