Re: Stains

  • I use oxy clean with every load and soak in oxy clean if we have a big/dark stain or washed and set stain.

I would love to see others answers on these because it works most of the time but not all and soaking in hot water with oxyclean takes the color out faster.

Soak in RLR Luanudry treatment for 2 hours, wash and dry in the sun (the sun is key here). I'm not sure if it works on baby stains but other stains sure come out.

  • We also just always soak in a bucket of water with oxy until we can wash it.

  • oxy to spot clean.

When her only stains were EBF poop, I would just keep spraying it with water until it came out with a little bit of hand soap.

  • I rinse it immediately and spray with a stain remover I got a bru, then wash it next time we need to do laundry.

  • Thanks ladies. Awesome for futur reference plus a good friend just gave me a bunch of baby clothes and a few had stain on them so I'll play with your ideas and see if they get any set-in ones out.

  • I have a great DIY stain remover! It solved nasty yellow pit stains on white shirts!

    2 parts hydrogen peroxide
    1 part dawn dish soap
baking soda (how much depends on how much of the others parts you put together)

This does NOT keep. You need to mix it up as you need it. If you mix up about 1/4 cup of the hydrogen peroxide and dawn, I'd probably throw in around 1/2-1 tablespoon of baking soda (that's my oh so precise ratio, lol).

Smear the mixture on your stains, let sit for a good half hour at the least, then wash as usual. This stuff fixed stains on a couple of white shirts that even a regular wash with bleach wouldn't touch.
