An iron, electric, pancake griddle, the impossible dream?
Am I banging my head against the wall. Does this even exist? My husband wants a big plug in griddle (even better if the plate can flip over and provide a ridged grill for him but he really likes the idea of making an army of pancakes the electric griddle and eggs on the stove and I must admit that it would get use since he does this almost very weekend with the kids while I blissfully sleep in and wake to the scent of yummies so I am trying not to begrudge him the space we most certainly don't have to store such a thing when it would certainly be easier to the stove top variety. We don't want any sort of non stick surface and preferably not aluminum. If we had to go stainless steel that could work but I don't think I have seen any stainless steel electric griddles either less alq,, dh wants
For Christmas- Help!! Thank you.

One is super expensive and the others are cheaper. I have a similar griddle to the cheaper ones but mine has sides. I dont use it often since its just the two of us but growing up at home my dad used one of these to do our pancakes so he could free up the stove for other things.
What i have and what we used when i was growing up is similar to this

A few years back I got the Cuisnart Griddler for my birthday. It is better than my sister's full electric griddle because it can lay flat or be used like a George Foreman grill. Next to my kindle, this is my most used birthday gift ever. My sister bought mine at Bed, Bath & Beyond and even used a coupon. I found it cheaper on Amazon.com for you though. My husband and I use this all the time. We store it on top of the fridge.
