Well I guess I am going to ask the obvious... what did you get from Santa this year?

I got a some books on Genealogy (nerd alert), Catholicism, Dr. Sleep by Stephen King, and a book of Dickens' tales, bra and panties from DH (SUPER CUTE), more Vera Wang Princess perfume, a calendar, Godiva truffles, movies, tons of makeup, some pj's/clothes (DH picked out some really cute stuff, I am super impressed), and our cat "got me" a robe

Oh, and I ended up getting DH a vintage John Riggins jersey for his "big" present which he LOVED

Lots of stuff toward the baby, which is really the only thing I wanted :-)

There is no point in me getting clothes right now, since I don't know how I'm going to be post-pregnancy, and I have enough maternity clothes. As far as gadgets, we have enough. I bought a calendar for my mother, but she had already bought herself the exact one, so I kept it (I liked it anyway). We needed a set of utensils for our grill, which DH got. DH got monogrammed cuff links which he loved. Got a pottery barn gift card, which I will use toward baby stuff and a bed, bath and beyond one, which I will use for some miscellaneous things we could use. Overall, I'm thrilled. My baby shower is Saturday and I can see that a lot of the big stuff was bought. We can certainly afford to have this baby, but it will be nice to not have to buy all the big expensive things by ourselves!!

A KITCHENAID!!!!!!!!!  Actually that was from MIL. 

I got a lot of good stuff.  DH got me a new phone.  I was using a "smart phone" that couldn't have apps on it.  So now I have a big girl smart phone.  I felt pretty bad about about it.  After I opened it I told DH, "Just want you to know I love the phone.  However for the next two hours I'm going to swear at it, say I hate it and possibly throw it across the room."  Which is exactly what I did.  I felt like a caveman trying to use my new phone.  Something like this:

I got pajamas, an amethys ring, a necklace, a chain, an arm band for my phone and a car mount, wii active, wii boxing game (with weighted gloves), scarves, make-up brushes (that I need to learn what to use for what), lotion, julienne spiral slicer, usb hub and my parent got me a table top ironning board and $$.  I think I'm using the $$ to upgrade our body pillows and I'm putting the rest for my work out rewards, mainly one of the urban decays naked pallets.

H actually did good! I got an Oakley jacket , hat and sunglasses! A solar watch, workout gloves, sun visors for the car for DD and an extra car seat. We mostly did presents for the baby, but little things bc family of course went nuts, this is the first grand baby on his side and I think his mom bought DD toys until she is 2!! I also received gloves, ornaments, and a gift certificate to the spa!

I got a stocking full of minion stuff including minion duck tape!! I don't know what I will do with it but I love it. I also got minion socks, a minion pillow, a minion shirt and a minion calendar. Can you tell I love minions? My adult gifts were new perfume, VS pjs, a huge set of canisters, anti fatigue mats for the kitchen, some cake pop accessories, and a Seahawks sweatshirt. My big gift from DH was a gorgeous leather Coach bag and a matching wristlet! 

DH got an xbox one and some games for it and his Vita. He also got car parts, cologne, a body pillow, some Seahawks stuff, a portable phone charger, some kinda of saw, and a set of work lights. 

We had an amazing Christmas

@mana8503 and @frank139 I have the naked 1 and 3 pallets and am in love with them!  They are basically all I use now.  I'm hoping to get the naked 2 pallet very soon!  The 3 pallet has a lot of rosey undertones and is really good for any skin color.  The 1 is good if you are needing basics.  I don't use all the colors on the 1 because some of them just don't look right on me, but I've seen very pretty tutorials with the 1 pallet and it always makes me want to try them again.

H did really good and got me two things on my wishlist!  I got a pair of brown leather riding boots and a leather coach purse.  I ended up getting him some puma shoes, a Baylor hoodie, a Cowboys tshirt, and a surround sound system for the living room.

Last weekend, we did an early Christmas with H's family and MIL and FIL got me new pj's, undies, and a MasterCard gift card.  I'm gonna use it for a new foundation brush!

We were sick for Christmas, so we didn't get to spend it with family so we haven't gotten our gifts from my parents yet.

@ystaalenburg - we keep repinning each other's how-tos for the pallets haha.  I just need an overall basic how to do my makeup.  I try to put on eyeshadow but it's always so sheer on me, maybe it's the shadow, which is why I want to get one of the pallets.

Are you using an eyeshadow primer?  That will help the color saturation and make it wear longer as well.  ELF has a great one for just $1.00.  I also use their eyeshadow brushes for $1 to $3 a piece.    For a basic eyeshadow look, I put one color on the whole lid, blend up into the crease, then apply a highlight color to the brow bone and inner eye/tear duct area.  If you want to get fancy, apply a complimentary, but darker, tone to the outer 1/4 of the lid (on top of the base color) and blend into the crease with a crease brush.

It's handmade on an outlying island in SC. My parents, my brother, and H's nana gave us some $$ towards our new entertainment center. My mom is making us a stained glass piece that shows a scene from the wedding! H got me a new camera lens and a digital photography class at our local community college.

@mana8503 Yeah, I saw that!  My beauty board is out of control!  As for the shadow going on sheer, it could also be your brushes.  I know they are expensive, but my MAC brushes are AMAZING!  They make such a huge difference in application.

Also, check out these girls on YouTube.  They have great tutorials, some easy and some more complicated but they are great at explaining and showing every step, so it makes them all pretty easy to follow.  The last one does a lot more looks on the dramatic side, and it can be a little much, but she also has some nicer softer looks too.

+1 on the primer!  I think the Naked 1 pallet comes with their basic primer potion and the 3 comes with some samples of 3 different primers.  I haven't tried those yet, but I'm sure they are great.  The UD Primer Potion is awesome, and a little pricey, but it lasts a long time.  I think I've had the same one for at least 4-6 months.

Well, looks like I know what I'm watching on youtube tonight, thanks @ystaalenburg! 

I think I have a cream concealer I use some days for my eyes... I don't think it's a primer though haha.  I'll have to get the elf one (is that Target?  I know I heard of it).  I did switch brushes a bit ago and it did help for the base color.  The set I just got has SO many brushes.  It came with good reviews on amazon, but I didn't realize it came with so much, and now I'm overwelmed.  I'll figure out the ones I'll use the most and pack the rest away for special occasions.

I got a new afghan that my MIL made, some giftcards, stuff for around the house, $$ and H got me a gift certificate so I can finally go buy some maternity clothes.

This year h and i went all out for the kids and agreed on only 1 small gift to each other. He got me the newest Michael buble CD

From others I got some beautiful China pieces, ornaments, in laws got us a family membership to the zoo!, stocking stuffers and my fave is the sewing machine my mom got me! I've never has one before but I've wanted one forever and now I can't wait to learn how to use it!!

That is 2 Christmases down and 4 more to go! We aren't through with Xmas until Jan 12th

DH got me a recurve bow so I can finally learn archery. My parents got us gift cards to go out for dinner at a few different places. (We usually make monthly road trips to do a lot of our bulk shopping and stop to get dinner after so that will come in handy)
His parents got me a gift card for amazon, a ton of socks and a fancy popcorn maker (like one of the big red cart ones); my brother in law got me a gift card for amazon as well.

Still have one more Christmas get together to go, but that won't be till new years.

My favorite gift (and the only thing I actually wanted) was from H.  He got me Cirque du Soliel tickets for the show that's coming to NYC this spring.  I got money from my grandmother and H's aunt.  My parents, my brother and SIL, ILs and H's sisters all got me clothes.

H's parents also got us a wok.  We really wanted one so we're pretty excited to use it.

And to you all with the makeup, I am the worst makeup applier that there ever was.  I never wear makeup because I am so bad at applying it.  If I were in the circus, I'd be great as a clown.  I'm going to watch these tutorials.  We'll know if they're actually good if they can help me.  Will update you soon.  Maybe I'll take some before and after shots to prove that I actually learned.

@sjs1013 You can do it!  Applying make up is something you have to take time to learn.  I remember my mom sitting me down and actually teaching me whereas a lot of my girlfriends had to learn on their own.  I think that helped me out a lot.  Just take your time and be patient.  Maybe on a day or night that you have nothing to do, sit in front of your mirror and spend time experimenting.  Just have some makeup wipes nearby so you can start over if you want to.

Hubs spoiled me!  I got a black and white diamond necklace with matching earrings.  He also got me a Starlin Castro jersey.

My mom got me a lot of kitchen stuff...a fancy glass pitcher, a tea pot, an electric skillet, wine glasses, etc.

Hubs got me a beautiful amythest ring and the garth brooks cd box set. My parents got us a 32 inch flat screen TV. Gift cards from siblings, and some clothes from in laws.

@ystaalenburg My mom did teach me.  It was disastrous!  When I was away at college, many friends tried to teach me and it was equally as bad.  I'm a spaz when it come to that stuff but I am going to try with those videos and see how it goes.

I made out like a bandit this Christmas, LOL. H got me a new laptop! I've been using the same one since 2009 and it's definitely on its last legs, but I told H I didn't want one for Christmas because it was too expensive. He didn't listen. He won't tell me what he paid for it but insists it wasn't too much because he got it on sale on Cyber Monday. I will try to believe him. I also got a Kindle Fire from my mom and a great shoulder bag from my sister and her boyfriend.

H's big gift from me was a Nintendo 3DS XL. He mostly got video games and work clothes from the rest of the family.
